About us

Our house is run by the Evangelische Kreuzkirchengemeinde Hof, represented by Pastor Dr. Matthias Westerhoff.

The children's house consists of two crèche groups, three kindergarten groups and one after-school group. This results in 135 children from 20 nations who play, learn and laugh together here.

Qualifications in our house

Our children's home is part of the federal program “Sprach-Kitas: Weil Sprache der Schlüssel zur Welt ist”. We are available as a consultation daycare center for other facilities. We also take part in the municipal program “Kita-Einstieg: Brücken bauen in früher Bildung”. As a “Carusos” certified facility, we place particular emphasis on musical education.

Specifics

Partially open concept in the kindergarten

In our kindergarten, we work according to the partially open concept three days a week. On Monday and Friday, each of our three kindergarten groups is in their group room, which is set up for a specific educational area, to play together, celebrate birthdays together, do pre-school work for our pre-school children, etc.

Our function rooms are open from Tuesday to Thursday and the children choose a room according to their interests.

We have these function rooms: Building and construction room, creative room, role play room, music room, media room, experiment room, relaxation room, children's bistro

In addition to the individual support according to interests in our educational rooms, we also have numerous projects for the targeted support of the kindergarten children. For example: pre-school work, language development,...

Open breakfast is served every day in the children's bistro. This means that the kindergarten children simply come for breakfast every day for a certain period of time when they are hungry.

At lunchtime, the groups eat together in our bistro in two shifts.

Another special feature of our pre-school work is our swimming course. In cooperation with the Hofbad, we accompany our kindergarten children to the indoor pool to learn how to swim.

Festivals

At the Kinderhaus, we love to celebrate festivals - from the Lantern Festival and the Favorite-Person-Festival to Christian occasions such as Easter and Christmas. You, dear parents, are also always invited to join in the celebrations and experience them with us.

Excursions

On excursions to the forest, the zoo or on a walk, our cchildren experience many adventures together as a group outside the Kinderhaus. Our school children are offered a varied program with many excursions during the vacations and on Fridays.
