Introduction/specifics

Presentation:

The Littel day care center is the oldest and smallest municipal day care center in the municipality of Wardenburg. The kindergarten started operation in 1973 and has two groups with a total of 50 places for children from 3 years old until school enrollment (including a maximum of 7 places for children under 3 years old).

Built in 1955, it was used as an elementary school for over 20 years. Over the past 40 years, the former playgroup has been transformed into a contemporary family-supplementing educational facility.

Our facility offers a spacious outdoor area, with adjacent sports fields and a gymnasium for regular use.

The special charm of the former elementary school has been preserved and makes the day care center a familiar, cozy place to feel at home.

Just like the outdoor facilities, the spacious building also offers children a variety of opportunities for development and growth.

Rooms

Just like the outdoor area, the spacious building offers a variety of development opportunities for children.

Outdoor Facilities

-spaces reflect focal points-

The learning environment for children is crucial in the educational process. The daycare center is designed according to the concept of a prepared environment. The rooms and outdoor area provide different thematic learning opportunities.

-Movement is the gateway of learning-.

Children are movement learners, they acquire the environment with and through movement. Physical dexterity, coordination skills as well as gross and fine motor skills are intensively promoted in our facility through a variety of equipment and materials. Rocking, swinging, swinging, sliding, climbing, balancing, jumping, is possible at any time on our outdoor area.

-Kinderturnen-

Every Thursday, children's gymnastics takes place in the gymnasium. In the course of the week, we also offer the children daily exercise activities. These also take place on the directly adjacent sports fields for all age groups.

-Our traffic garden-

As a special feature, we have a traffic garden that is very popular. Here, the children playfully practice the rules of the road on rolling and driving equipment.

Food

As an educational institution, we see it as a matter of course to pay attention to healthy nutrition. Every day, we offer a fruit and vegetable plate and drinks with the breakfast that you bring along.

We eat breakfast together in the respective groups. In order to be able to enjoy the meals, a comfortable and quiet atmosphere is important to us.

In the afternoon, we offer a round of vespers with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Our supplier:

Ratatouille - Die feine Kinderküche supplies nurseries and kindergartens in Oldenburg as well as in the entire northwest of Lower Saxony with fresh children's food.
