Welcome to the Achternmeer Municipal Daycare Center :-)

At our Achternmeer Municipal Daycare Center, we support 111 children daily on their individual educational and developmental journeys. In three morning groups and three full-day groups – including our charming branch, "Das kleine Kitahaus" (The Little Daycare House), with 25 children – we create a place where children feel safe, seen, and welcome.

We work according to an open concept, enabling children to pursue their interests and strengths in a variety of activity rooms. These include a numbers and words workshop, a sensory room, a role-playing room, an art studio, a crafts and woodworking workshop, a movement room, and a construction room. This learning environment invites discovery, experimentation, exploration, and creative expression.

Inclusive education is an important component of our work. In two integration groups, we provide intensive and individualized support to children with special educational needs – assisted by two special education professionals who enrich our pedagogical work.

Our dedicated team consists of 22 early childhood educators who bring heart, expertise, and genuine joy to our daily work at the daycare center. Respectful collaboration, mutual support, and a sense of humor characterize our team culture – because we firmly believe that only those who feel comfortable at work can provide competent and loving care for children.

Our daily lunch is provided by Karotte Caterers from Oldenburg, who reliably supply us with balanced meals.
