Our pedagogical mission statement
"Children are like butterflies in the wind. Some fly higher than others, but all fly as best they can. Each one is different. Each one is special. Everyone is wonderful and unique, because being different is a person's strength!"
Our municipal day care center is a community of different cultures, different social classes and diverse family structures. This togetherness is characterized by acceptance, tolerance and transparency.
We are a place of encounter; a colorful, lively community of children and adults. We want to inspire helpfulness, tolerance and respect, and promote openness and understanding for other cultures.
It is important to us to respect the personality of every little person and to treat them with care. Within the framework of participation, we actively involve the children in decisions in many ways.
Every child has the right to be respected and taken seriously. It needs freedom of perception, but also guidance and help to structure its perception. We want to offer the child a variety of opportunities and conditions to actively explore his or her world and to relate to it.
We base our conception of the child on the positions of the situational approach. The child should be an actor in his or her own development. We do not stand above the child, but behind it, observing, advising and accompanying it.
In this way we preserve the child's joy in playing, doing, telling, thinking, learning, understanding and his creativity. This appreciative atmosphere in our facility as well as the loving and respectful treatment of the children gives them security and trust. This is the basis for our work.
Our pedagogical focus
The city of Waldkraiburg makes special reference to the mutlicultural population structure of Waldkraiburg. The child - regardless of his or her origin - and his or her development should be the focus of attention. Due to the multitude of nationalities, a focus must be placed on language education and support as well as on the promotion of social skills. In addition, inclusion in the facility is very important to us. Inclusive children are accepted and cared for in regular groups, if the severity of the disability allows it.
