We see children as the architects of their own lives and accompany them on this journey. In our daily work, we focus on the children's current interests, support their natural urge to explore and discover, and immerse ourselves in their world of experience. Important life experiences are gathered at key moments.

We see each child as an individual with their own personality, strengths and weaknesses, rights and responsibilities. We provide the children with space and a wide range of materials that enable them to have diverse learning experiences and develop their own interests. Our daily routine is based on needs-oriented and holistic education across all sensory channels. With regard to school, we want to accompany the children on their way to becoming independent, socially competent, and self-determined personalities. Only by working at the child's eye level can we see things from their perspective and gain the necessary understanding of their interests.

Settling in
The first month that the child attends the facility is the “settling-in period.” During the first few days, the child gets to know the premises, the other children, and the teachers at their own pace, together with their parent. From the second week onwards, the first attempts at separation take place gently and in consultation with the parents, as well as a gradual extension of the child's stay at the daycare center. Towards the end of the settling-in month, the child should already be eating lunch and sleeping at the facility for the first time. The educators document the settling-in process in a small settling-in diary.

Each settling-in period is considered and designed individually. We focus on the needs of the children and their parents. The settling-in period is not complete after one month; each child needs individual time to get used to the facility.

Educational work

    Nursery: mixed-age groups from 1 to 3 years old

    Kindergarten: single-age groups from 3 years old until school age

    We work in a situation-oriented manner.

    Participation is very important to us. We practice child democracy, and the children are free to express their opinions and make decisions.

How to find us:
Our Kinderhaus Westend is located in the Westend/Neundorf district and is easily accessible by public transportation. Tram lines 1 and 3 stop opposite our facility at the Neundorf terminus. There are good parking facilities in the Europaratstraße area or the adjacent streets if you are coming by car. The main entrance to our daycare center is located in the administrative center on Europaratstraße.
