Welcome to the Am Rähnisberg daycare center!

At our daycare center, experienced educators care for children aged two years until they start school. 66 children attend our facility and are cared for in age-appropriate groups throughout the day. Eight educators are responsible for their education and upbringing. Our team is supported by the daycare center's parent council, which works closely and trustingly with all parents. We are non-denominational.

Since January 1, 2021, we have been a language daycare center funded by the Federal Ministry. On September 1, 2023, we started the ESF program “KINDER STÄRKEN 2.0 – Kitasozialarbeit in Sachsen” (STRENGTHENING CHILDREN 2.0 – Daycare Social Work in Saxony). The project funds provided enable us to hire an additional specialist whose task is to support children with special learning and life difficulties in order to initiate equal opportunities in terms of education, participation, and development and to counteract disadvantage. The daycare social work complements the team at our daycare center and identifies specific needs and support services for children and their families in risky situations within the facility.

Our childcare facility is located in the center of Haselbrunn, surrounded by three allotment gardens. The property has an extensive play area on two levels, with sunny and shady play areas alternating. The garden is divided by many trees and shrubs and offers the children a variety of individual play and activity options.
