Introduction/specifics

We - Olga and Irina - are childminders and also sisters and have worked individually as childminders for many years. We have been working together since August 2023, but each child is assigned to one of us. We see ourselves as family-supporting daycare based on Christian values.

We now look after nine children between the ages of 0 and 3 in our large daycare centre "Kinderarche". We can really let our hair down in a barrier-free flat with a garden. We renovated everything together and furnished it especially for the children. It was an exciting time and is still an ongoing process with new ideas.

Now we fill our days with great adventures, good food and lots of fun and games.

Rooms:

The large day care centre is located in a bright, spacious, barrier-free flat with a garden, close to the centre of Verl.

The 70 qm are divided into an entrance area with a child-friendly cloakroom

cloakroom, large bathroom with changing table, kitchen, bedroom and large group room.

The group room is constantly being remodelled. There is a doll's corner for role play, a creative area and a construction area where the children's imagination knows no bounds. Among other things, we use Montessori materials to challenge and encourage the children in their abilities.

Daily routine:

A structured daily routine gives the children a sense of security and orientation. Free play phases alternate with activities, projects and communal activities.

7.30 - 8.30 Bringing phase - "arrival" of the children - they have time to look around and orientate themselves. Time for short door-to-door talks with parents.

8.30 - 9.00 Breakfast together with grace and time for table talks.

9.00 - approx. 11.00 - Free play phase - in the entire home and in the garden, or specially offered activities such as handicrafts, painting, modelling in the group.

11.00 - approx. 11.30 Snacks in between before nap time, e.g. fruit

11.30 - 13.00 Rest break - each child has their own place to sleep with their dummy, cuddly toy etc.

13.00 - 14.00 Lunch together, which is freshly cooked.

14.00 - 15.00 All children are collected.

The daily routine for the younger children is organised according to their age.

Meals:

Regular meals are important to us. In addition to breakfast, lunch and a snack, there is always a healthy snack in between if required. Fruit and vegetables provide the daily basis for a balanced diet. We say or sing a prayer together and thus experience table fellowship.
Lunch is freshly cooked every day. The children have the opportunity to get to know and try unfamiliar foods.

Does your child have a favourite food? Do you have any special recipes from your culture? We are happy to try out new recipes and accept suggestions from the children and from you.
