Introduction/specifics

Welcome to our Robert-Schulmeister Waldorf Kindergarten.

We support children in a loving and nurturing environment where they have the time and space to develop freely. Our daily routine is characterized by a rhythmic schedule, shared activities, and plenty of free play. To ensure the children can thrive, it is important to us to create a safe and secure environment where every child feels accepted and can develop their individual abilities.

Daily Schedule

A clear and consistent routine provides the children with a sense of security and structure.
The day begins with a welcome time and free play. We then gather for morning circle, where we sing songs or recite verses. As the day progresses, we engage in group activities such as baking, watercolor painting, eurythmy, playing the harp, and crafts. Every day, we spend time outdoors in nature, in the garden, or on walks. Shared meals and quiet times, such as story time, are also part of our daily rhythm.
Sleep and rest times are an important part of our daily routine at the kindergarten and take place at a set time each day. In our nursery, in the mixed-age group, and in the groups with extended hours, the children have the opportunity to take a nap or rest. Each child has their own designated sleeping spot with their own bed, which provides them with a sense of security and stability. We approach this time with particular care and individual attention. The children are lovingly supported, and each child is allowed to settle down at their own pace. We ensure a calm, safe atmosphere where the children can feel secure and comfortable.

Food

A healthy and mindful diet is an important part of our daily routine at the preschool. We offer a balanced, vegetarian, and organic diet. By cooking and baking together, the children learn to handle food mindfully and develop a natural relationship with it.

Basics

Our educational work is guided by the fundamental principles of Waldorf education and the approaches of Emmi Pikler.
We create a loving and well-prepared environment in which children can become active on their own initiative. Through free play, imitation, and creative activities, they discover their surroundings and develop imagination, self-confidence, and social skills. Wooden blocks become a car or a castle; cloths and play stands become a living room where pasta with tomato sauce is cooked using ribbon.
Natural materials, music, and artistic and craft activities are integral parts of our daily routine.

Teamwork with parents

Building a trusting partnership with parents is very important to us.Through regular meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and shared celebrations, we foster open communication. Together, we guide the children on their journey and support their development.

Specifics

Nature and the changing seasons play an important role in our preschool.
We celebrate seasonal festivals together and decorate our classroom to reflect the season. This helps the children experience the rhythm of the year and develop a close connection to nature.
