Introduction/specifics

The nursery is located in the Diegelsberg district of Uhingen. We are close to meadows, a playground and fields. We take advantage of this proximity to nature to go on walks in every season.

The facility has a nursery group and a kindergarten group. We work according to the ‘partially open concept’. This means that the children are allowed to visit each other when the schedule allows. We also hold joint celebrations and meet in the garden.

Rooms

The entrance door leads into the hallway. Here you will find the cloakrooms for both groups in their respective areas.

After drop-off time, the children can play in the hallway. The nursery children play in the hallway as soon as they arrive; this is also where their building corner is located. 

The facility has the following rooms:

- Office for management and teachers; parent-teacher conferences also take place here

- Group room with adjoining room for the kindergarten group

The adjoining room has a playhouse with a second level. In the large group room, the children have access to a building corner, a painting table, tables for games and other materials, and a dining table.

Outdoor Facilities

Our garden is shaded in summer thanks to its mature trees. There are various climbing frames, a slide house, a sandpit and a nest swing. There is a separate area for nursery children with a slide ship and playhouse.

When the weather is dry, we bring out the sand toys and vehicles.

In summer, we spray water.

In the upper part of the garden, extensive renovation work will take place next year in 2026.

Daily Schedule

Nursery

Children should be in the nursery by 8:30 a.m.

Until the tidying-up song, they can play with whomever or whatever they want. During this time, there are also craft activities, or picture books can be looked at on request, puzzles can be done together, pegboards or board games can be played.

After the tidying-up song and tidying up, everyone gathers on the red carpet in the middle of the room for the ‘morning circle’.

Now everyone lines up in front of the group room door and, to the tune of ‘Tututut die Eisenbahn’, everyone goes to wash their hands.

Afterwards, we begin our communal snack after saying grace. After eating, we go out into the garden or for a walk in almost any weather. If it is pouring rain, we play in the hallway. 

Then it's time for a nap.

After waking up and getting dressed, we sing the closing song and pick-up time begins until 1:15 p.m.

Food

We participate in the school fruit project.

The children bring their snacks from home.
