Daily Schedule

Our facility offers an early morning service for both the daycare and the regular groups from 07:00 to 08:00. This early morning service takes place in different groups.

The regular service in the individual groups starts at 08:00. The children should arrive in their group at 08:30 at the latest.

Around 9:00 a.m., a voluntary morning circle takes place in the individual groups during free play.

Afterwards the breakfast starts, which is offered until 10:30 am.

From 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., project work, small group work, inter-group activities, the chair circle and free play in the kindergarten playground begin.

At 13:00 the children who are registered for half-day are picked up.

For the full-day groups, the 6 hr group and the marginal time until 14:00, the day continues with lunch.

After lunch at 13:30, the pick-up period for the afternoon children begins.

Starting at 14:00, there is a free play period for the full-day children. During this time, short stories are read or naps are taken or quiet games are played as needed.

Around 15:00, the full-day children sit down together again for a short refreshment/drink break.

At 16:00 at the latest, all full-day children have reached the end of their care.

In our crèche groups, the daily routine is the same, although the times vary somewhat.

Basics

Children are at the center of our daily work. Therefore, they have a large say in the different areas of the kindergarten's daily routine.

We base all pedagogical offers on the needs and interests of the child. In the offers for the children, the focus is not on the result, but on the fun and joy of being active. Each child should be able to contribute his or her individual talents.

We see ourselves as an open house for everyone.

Furthermore, we are guided by the diocesan framework manual of the Osnabrück diocese as well as the Lower Saxony orientation plan.

Cooperations

Our facilities cooperate with different networks:

  • political municipality of Twist
  • elementary school of the municipality
  • day care centers of the municipality
  • Vitus factory, Meppen
  • District of Emsland
  • Diocese of Osnabrück
  • Youth welfare office
  • State Education Authority
  • Caritas Association
  • Occupational therapists
  • Speech therapists
  • Early intervention
  • Professional schools
  • Pediatricians

Teamwork with parents

The cooperation with the parents is an important building block in the development of the children, therefore we strive for a good educational partnership.

The specialists at our facility hold regular developmental discussions with the parents, at least once a year, based on the observation documentation (Petermann & Petermann). Based on these observations, potentials and possible developmental risks are recorded and discussed with the parents and, if necessary, referred to doctors or other institutions.

Transparency is an important keyword for us, especially when it comes to working with parents. Therefore, we document our work and the work of the children in the hallway and regularly pass on information letters to the parents or inform them about current things in the daycare via the KIKOM APP.

Open communication promotes relaxed cooperation and often prevents trouble and misunderstandings in advance. Therefore, we always offer the possibility to approach us with wishes, concerns and complaints or refer to the Pedagogical Advisory Board in its function as mediator between the daycare center and the parents.
