St. Raphael Kindergarten is a place where children feel safe and welcome.
Our motto is: "Here I am a child, here I am allowed to be!"

We follow an open concept based on the Early Excellence approach. The needs of each child are our top priority. In our stimulating environment, children can explore and learn independently. Free play is very important to us, as children build their understanding of themselves and the world through imitation and their own experiences.

Our goal is to support each child in their individual development and help them grow into confident and capable individuals.

The Catholic kindergarten St. Raphael is a place that offers security. A fitting quote for our pedagogical work says: "Here I am a child, here I am allowed to be!"
Free play has a very high priority for us at St. Raphael Kindergarten. By imitating their own experiences, the children process what they have experienced and this consolidates the ways in which they have acted.
Education is a lifelong and independent process in which children acquire the world. Through their own actions, children create their knowledge about themselves and about their environment.

How we meet the children and make them strong for life
Our pedagogical attitude towards the children and their families is characterized by a positive basic attitude. The needs of each individual child are at the center of our pedagogical work. Meanwhile, children experience education as a sensory, active and social process. In order to maintain a lasting and constant relationship with the children, this requires a basis of trust with you as parents and your children. As explorers and discoverers of their own world, the children are responsible participants in our daily routine. We attach great importance to the children growing into self-confident, determined and self-assured personalities and enable them to test their own decision-making abilities. The children also encounter challenging situations in their everyday lives. Dealing with these situations steadfastly and self-confidently results in them growing up to be self-effective problem solvers. We accompany the children competently in this process.

Our pedagogical attitude
In order to build a trustworthy and best possible bond, this requires an authentic, reliable, strong and lasting relationship with the children. This foundation is already laid in the very intensive, sensitive and individual settling-in period. On the basis of this foundation, it is possible for us to discover, experience and live everyday life together with the children in a holistic way. By means of a strong relationship with each individual child, we as pedagogical specialists offer diverse, multifaceted and multi-sensory activities tailored to the child. These are adapted to the developmental needs of the child.

The tasks of the pedagogical staff at St. Raphael's Kindergarten also include regular, systematic and adequate observations of the children. Through this elementary important task we get a differentiated insight into current educational interests and developmental topics of the children. By means of previously made observations, we create unique educational opportunities for the children according to their interests. This is then reflected upon professionally by the team. The individual learning and educational path is recorded in the portfolio with the child.

Christian values education
St. Raphael Kindergarten is under Catholic sponsorship represented by Father Aubele. Regardless of age, origin, gender, religion and social background, everyone is welcome. In everyday life, we place special emphasis on Christian values education. We treat the children with consideration, respect and at eye level and place special emphasis on a general respectful interaction. Each child is accepted and respected with his or her strengths and weaknesses and ensures mutual understanding among each other. We are guided by the festivals and celebrations of the Christian cycle of the year. In the focus of our daily morning circle, it is important to us that a sense of community is created within the group.

A strong, constant and positive educational partnership with you as parents is the cornerstone of our pedagogical work. Basics

Unsere pädagogische Haltung

Das Early – Excellence – Konzept basiert auf dem offenen Ansatz welcher ein umfangreiches Potential für alle Altersgruppen bietet. Die Kinder sind in altershomogenen Gruppen mit einer festen Bezugserzieherin eingeteilt. Diese Bezugserzieherin begleitet Sie und Ihr Kind vom ersten Kindergartentag bis zum Schuleintritt. Um eine vertrauenswürdige und bestmögliche Bindung aufzubauen, setzt dies eine authentische, verlässliche, starke und dauerhafte Beziehung zu den Kindern voraus. Dieser Baustein wird bereits in der sehr intensiven, feinfühligen und individuellen Eingewöhnung gelegt. Anhand dieses Fundaments ist es uns möglich, gemeinsam mit den Kindern den Alltag ganzheitlich zu entdecken, erfahren und erleben. Mittels einer starken Beziehung zu jedem einzelnen Kind bieten wir als pädagogische Fachkräfte auf das Kind abgestimmte vielfältige, vielseitige und vielsinnliche Angebote. Diese sind an die Entwicklungsbedürfnisse des Kindes angepasst. In der altershomogenen Gruppe findet mit maximal 14 Kinder täglich in der Zeit ab 10:30 Uhr ein morgendliches Treffen (Morgenkreis) statt. Diese begrenzte Zeit am Tag sehen wir als Chance alters- und entwicklungsentsprechend Themen mit den Kindern auf zu arbeiten. Je nach Entwicklungsstand lernen die Kinder anhand von Wiederholungen, diese Wiederholung ist bei kleinen Kinder wichtiger als bei älteren. Durch den offenen Ansatz können die Kinder anhand ihrer Interessen, Stärken und Fähigkeiten sich in allen Räumlichkeiten unserer Einrichtung entfalten. Hierbei kommen die Kinder, aus allen Altersklasse zusammen.
