Since March 2024, the municipality of Sontheim an der Brenz offers child day care for a maximum of 10 children in a mixed-age group, ages 2 years to just before school entry, at their lovingly designed large day care center, the Tigerle. The care hours are flexible and can be individually tailored to the needs of the parents.
Our environment is more than just a backdrop – it is part of our educational concept. In experiential and nature education, children discover animals, plants, seasons, and natural phenomena up close. Playing outdoors strengthens their perception, senses, and self-confidence.Musical early education awakens joy in rhythm and sound – through singing, moving, and making music together.
Artistic activities such as painting, crafting, and creating in various techniques stimulate imagination and promote fine motor skills and expression. Scientific experiments bring small researchers' questions to life: Why does it rain? How does wind form? What floats – and what sinks? In Tigerle, each child is at the center. In a trusting atmosphere, we provide guidance, safe structures, and loving support. The mixed-age group fosters a sense of community, helpfulness, and friendship – here, children grow with and alongside each other.
Team: Our team consists of 3 staff members, including 2 professionals according to § 43 SGB VIII and one qualified child care provider. With heart, commitment, and expertise, we support each child in their individual development and create a safe, nurturing atmosphere.
Creative space
Here is the main part of our daily activities. The children can let their imagination and creativity run free by building, playing, crafting, and painting together.
Our lounge
Our quiet area gives the children the opportunity to retreat or to look at books together and listen to stories. Additionally, the morning circle, our daily ritual, takes place there.
Each child brings their own large snack, as we have breakfast together at 9 o'clock and eat a little something again around 11:15. Friday is our baking and cooking day. On this day, the children do not need a snack. We prepare breakfast together and cook or bake something for lunchtime. Water and tea are available to the children. However, it is advisable to bring a water bottle, because on Tuesdays we have our sports day and also go on excursions.
