Kinderhaus in der Au
Current information
The children's house consists of two parts. The "old building," which was constructed in the 1970s and has since been renovated, and the "new building" from 2010.
Both parts are connected by a common entrance area, creating a unified structure. Here is also the "parents' island" - it offers the opportunity to linger and exchange ideas. Parents can also stay here during the settling-in period and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Since September 2017, the children's house also includes another nursery group in the building of the "old town hall" (Hauptstraße 57). It can be reached on foot in two minutes through the large garden.
All groups have a large group room and additional rooms, some of which are equipped with a second play level. In the new building, the sanitary facilities are integrated into the group room, while there is a large washing room in the old building. Furthermore, the children have access to the large play corridors for playing. For playing, the children also have access to the large play corridors where the cloakrooms are located, as well as a gymnasium. A workshop and a children's kitchen also provide the kids with opportunities to express their creativity.
The spacious garden area can be used by all children throughout the year. There are play options available for every season. There are paths suitable for riding, sandboxes for building and digging, swings, slides, climbing frames, and small hiding spots. There is also a dedicated "children's forest" - a piece of garden left in its natural state.
Our educational work takes place both across groups and within the individual groups. This allows children to receive individualized support and the opportunity to learn community skills and independence. We offer different forms and times of care in our facility, thereby making it easier for parents to pursue their careers.
