Current information
We appreciate your interest in our daycare center and would like to briefly introduce it to you below.
Our daycare center opened in January 2022 as a facility accessible to people with disabilities (8 integration places). It is located in the “new” district of Seelze-Süd.
Our center offers space for up to 101 children to play and explore.
Inclusion is an important part of our educational work. We see ourselves as a place where children and adults of all nationalities, family structures, cultural and social differences, and with or without disabilities feel safe and at home.
Playing and learning together strengthens social skills, sensitizes empathy, and breaks down possible prejudices or fears of contact.
Another focus is on promoting independence. We therefore encourage children to develop their own ideas and support them in implementing them. We also enable children to gain their own experiences and help shape their living environment.
The children are usually accompanied by three specialists in their everyday lives. The two integration groups are additionally supported by a special education teacher. Our team currently consists of 22 specialists, three trainees, one kitchen assistant, and two cleaning staff.
In the “Seahorse Group,” our youngest children (15 children aged 12-36 months) have their first experiences exploring the world without mom and dad.
Our “seal children” learn special mutual consideration in the mixed-age group (AÜG), as nursery and kindergarten children are cared for together here. The size of the group varies depending on the age of the children.
Our 25 “Pufferfish” are a kindergarten group only. The premises invite children to read, explore, play, and engage in creative activities.
The “Octopuses” and “Turtels” groups each support and accompany 18 children with and without special needs (a total of 8 integration places) in their development.
In addition to the bright and modern group rooms, the children can visit the two exercise rooms and the spacious outdoor area as play areas, either alone or in small groups. The corridors and the large entrance hall are also available to the children for their boisterous and creative play, which is why all visitors to the daycare center must take off their outdoor shoes at the entrance door (shoe-free daycare center).
If you would like to find out more about the daycare center and see it for yourself, we invite you to join us for a tour of the facility every first Tuesday of the month at 2:30 p.m. Please register in advance by email or phone, providing your phone number.
We hope to see you soon
