Introduction/specifics
The Michaelskindergarten is a facility run by the Protestant parish of Neuenkirchen. In the nursery, we care for children aged 12 months to three years in two groups of 10 children each. In the kindergarten, we care for children from the age of three until they start school in three groups. One group works on an integrative basis.
Based on the principle of open work, the entire kindergarten is available to the children as a play and learning space with all functional areas. At the same time, each child is assigned to a fixed group with familiar caregivers.
In addition to the hand puppet Peter Püree, with whom the children (3+) put together the meal plan, we would like to mention our religious education teacher, Hein Hering (also a hand puppet), who speaks Low German with the children. We are certified by the “Stiftung Kinder forschen” (Children's Research Foundation) and have a special research room for this purpose.
In their last year of kindergarten, our future preschoolers meet regularly for “Riesenzeit” (giant time). We cooperate with the Neuenkirchen elementary school, which visits us and which we visit.
