Basics
Our society is geared towards performance and constant development. Children often feel this pressure even before they start school. Anxiety and tension are possible consequences.
We want to tap into children's natural curiosity and love of learning in kindergarten and preserve their beautiful childhood. They should experience free spaces to let off steam and try things out, but also find opportunities to retreat, dream and relax. They should be able to make friends and feel at home in our group community. In the future, creativity and flexibility will be expected of the children. We want to strengthen these skills. They should grow into self-confident personalities who know their strengths, can express their opinions and dare to say YES and NO.
In addition to this individual self-discovery process, our children can also experience themselves as community beings. This happens by showing consideration, fitting into the group and finding compromises. We teach the children to empathize with pain and misfortune, to comfort, to apologize and to make amends. In discussions, we reach joint decisions, seek solutions to conflicts and appeal to tolerance and understanding.
We also respond to the needs of our children. However, this is not to be confused with “make a wish”, but rather we closely observe what the individual child or the children as a community want.
