Welcome to the Platjenwerbe daycare center,
We are a family-run facility and a point of contact for you and your child's needs.
There are 2 elementary groups and 1 crèche group. The premises of the elementary area have existed for over 50 years. In 2017, the crèche area and the associated rooms were added.
The daycare center is nestled between the elementary school, village community center and gymnasium.
Elementary area
Each group has a group room that is bright and friendly with lots of windows. There are similar functional corners in the group rooms, such as a craft area, a doll's corner, a construction area, etc. There are small storage rooms next to the group rooms where there is space for materials, games etc.
We pay attention to flexible room design, i.e. changing needs of the children are also reflected in the group.
There is a corridor area with an integrated play corner and a cuddly sofa. The large kitchen area is not only used for open breakfast and lunch, but also for other activities, such as the pre-school group or other activities.
The elementary area has a shared washroom, where the outside door to the playground is also located.
A large exercise room is regularly available to all children.
Crèche
The crèche group room is bright, friendly and flooded with light. With its own kitchenette, the teachers have the opportunity to bake and cook with the children directly in the group.
The adjoining corridor area is also used for playing, for example for the use of vehicles.
The washroom is equipped with a long washing trough for experimenting and a changing table. The adjacent bedroom offers the possibility for all 10 children to sleep.
There is a large outdoor area, which is divided into two areas, the elementary area and the crèche area.
In the elementary area there are two swings, a playhouse, a wooden horse, several sand areas and a climbing frame with a slide.
There is also plenty of space to run around in the crèche area. There is also a climbing frame with a slide, a playhouse and a sandpit.
We have the opportunity to use the school's sports field/play area as well as the gymnasium, which is used once a week by the elementary group.

We make sure that the children have a balanced diet, whether it is breakfast that the parents bring themselves or food ordered from a caterer.
The elementary section offers a large breakfast for the group every two weeks. This is prepared by the specialist staff. The crèche group offers a communal breakfast once a week, which is also prepared by the specialist staff.
We get our food from the caterer SJS (Sankt Joseph Stift) from Bremen.
