In einer Krippengruppe werden 10 Kinder im Alter von 1 bis 3 Jahren überwiegend ganztags betreut. Im Elementarbereich lernen, spielen und leben bis zu 70 Kinder im Alter von 3 bis 6 Jahren ebenfalls überwiegend ganztags.

The Bunkenburgsweg daycare center has a role-play room, a building room, an exercise room, and an art studio. These are complemented by the writing workshop, the research room with a water play area, and the reading sofa as smaller functional areas.
The outdoor area is equipped with sandboxes, playhouses, a water feature, a climbing area, an exercise construction site, and several raised beds, among other things.
The educational work of the institution promotes cooperation without exclusion and acceptance of individual differences. It supports learning through experience and exploration and ensures care that is appropriate to the children's stage of development and needs.
