Introduction/specifics

The Wilhelm-Enßle-Straße daycare center is an all-day facility with five groups. The facility consists of three crèche groups for children aged one to three years, each with a capacity of 10 childcare places. There are also two kindergarten groups for children aged three to six, each with twenty places.  
Our educational work is guided by the following principles:

- Emotional security and attention provide the basis for children's learning processes and the development of their personality.

- Educators are creators of a stimulating world of learning and experience in the daycare center
- Our daycare center ensures that all children - regardless of origin, gender and social status - have the same opportunities for learning and development.

Rooms

Our premises extend over two floors, which are also accessible via an elevator. The entrance, our large exercise room and the industrial kitchen are located on the first floor. There are also adjoining rooms for the family center. 
The two kindergarten groups are located on the second floor, of which we offer 20 full-day places and 20 VÖ+ places. Each group has its own checkroom area, a group room with a centrally located bathroom and an adjoining side room. The management office and staff rooms are also located on this floor. There is also a large open children's restaurant. Breakfast and lunch are served there. There is a garden area with climbing facilities, swings and open spaces for movement and play. 
There is also a bedroom, a role-play room and a parents' room.

The toddler area for children aged one to three years is located on the second floor. Each of the three crèche groups offers ten childcare places, including full-day places. Each group has an adjoining baby changing room. There are also bedrooms for the children and a staff room on this floor. The garden area for the crèche groups is located on the roof terrace. The garden can also be used by the elementary area via a shared staircase.

For children in the toddler groups, the transition to the elementary area is possible at the age of three

7:00 am to 9:00 am: Arrival:  The children can use the time to arrive for 
                                    free play, painting or handicrafts 

9:00 a.m. to approx. 9:30 a.m. Breakfast together

From 1:45 pm pick-up time for VÖ+ children (booking time until 2 pm)

    The crèche children are collected from the crèche groups at all pick-up times.

Food

In the crèche and elementary areas, breakfast is eaten together at 9:00 am. Parents give the children a snack to take with them. Water is available in the facility. 

Basics

For 3 to 6-year-old children from the elementary sector:

- Partially open concept with reference groups and cross-group use of functional rooms: role-play room, workshop, entrance area with slide and climbing wall (for children aged 3 and over) and the movement room

For 1 - to 3 - year old children from the crèche area: 
   The focus of our crèche pedagogy is based on the pedagogical approaches of  
   the pedagogical approaches of Dr. Emmi Pikler:

- We build bridges during the transition from the family to the nursery:
A gentle organization of the settling-in period is important to us so that the child can build trust in the new situation and with the new people, true to the motto: “No education without bonding”

- Autonomous movement development:
We create an environment in the crèche with lots of stimuli for movement. Every child has the opportunity to develop their movement at their own pace and on their own initiative. 

- Implementation of relationship-based care: 
This includes changing diapers, eating and drinking, sleeping and resting and the transition to diaper-free time. We design the care situation in such a way that every child can enjoy being there and is actively involved.

- Play as a place of education:
Children discover their environment through free play. We offer the children a stimulating play environment with a high level of challenge. We accompany the children attentively and sensitively during play and give them the time and space to shape their own individual learning processes. We observe and document the children's development and offer a development discussion every six months.

- Everyday education: 
A reliable daily rhythm with ritualized routines offers a child space for orientation and security. In a relaxed and loving environment, children are given the opportunity to develop their personality.

- Pre-linguistic communication and language development:
Communication also takes place with crèche children from the very beginning. Through sensitive observation, we react to the signs and gestures of the youngest children and set out with them to discover language and promote language development. In direct contact with each individual child, we create a variety of language-stimulating situations in everyday life.

- Educational partnership:
The relationship between us as educational professionals and the parents is crucial for the child's well-being. We value respectful interaction and create places and rituals for daily dialog.

Cooperations

With the parents' consent, we work together with various therapists (occupational therapy, speech therapy, etc.), doctors, elementary school and specialist services.
