Our facility is one of the few single-group kindergartens and is therefore very informal.
In addition to the usual seasonal festivals and celebrations, there are always parent events. The participation of “our” parents in kindergarten activities has a very high priority in our kindergarten.
Our one-group facility is located in the Grunbach elementary school building. We have a group room, a small adjoining room, a checkroom, a washroom and a kitchen. A beautiful, shady garden is also part of our facility. We can also use the school's exercise room, the two schoolyards and the elementary school's sports field.
The outdoor area includes - in addition to some open play space, a sandpit and swings - a herb garden, recently a mud kitchen and various climbing facilities that invite the children to explore. The entire area is shaded by an old tree population with tall trees.

The prerequisite for a successful transition from kindergarten to elementary school (or primary school support class) is a successful educational partnership. This means that not only do the kindergarten and elementary school work together, but the parents are also involved. Together we accompany the children through various stages of development. Teachers and educators jointly observe and document the development of skills and abilities, exchange information and develop support measures where necessary.
(Prerequisite is the parents' declaration of consent)
For us, educational partnership means mutual appreciation and acceptance between parents and teachers. Of course, it must be taken into account that educators and parents have a different perspective on their child, as the parents and we as educators experience the child in different contexts. The aim of our work with parents is to build a trusting relationship between the child, the parents and the teachers, and to support and complement each other in the child's upbringing. The well-being of the child is always our top priority.
Depending on the time of year, we have the opportunity to organize guided activities in the world garden.
Various activities and festivals take place at our facility every year.
Location and directions to the facility
The Lehenstraße kindergarten is located in Remshalden in the northern part of the Grunbach district. Approximately 6300 inhabitants live here. The kindergarten was established in August 1988 as a temporary one-group facility in a former classroom of Grundbach elementary school and has developed into a permanent institution over the years. The vineyards, meadows and streams in the surrounding area are within easy walking distance and are ideal for a variety of walks and observations.
The kindergarten is easy to reach by car via Lehenstraße. There are good parking facilities at the turning area, where the elementary school is also located. From there, a small footpath leads down to the kindergarten on the left-hand side.
