Current information

Introduction/specifics

Our kindergarten is located in the district of Grunbach. We can quickly reach meadows, fields and vineyards on foot.

Rooms

The kindergarten has two group rooms, which are connected by another room.

The children have different functional areas available in each group room, which offer the children a wide range of age-appropriate activities.

Outdoor Facilities

In our beautiful garden, the children will find different and age-appropriate activities. The children have various playhouses, sandboxes, vehicles and playground equipment at their disposal. There is enough space and retreat for movement games and free play.

Daily Schedule

The children experience a daily routine with us, which gives them empathetic accompaniment, support and security through rituals.

Food

From 7.30 am to 9.30 am, the children have the flexibility to eat the snacks they have brought with them.
There is a short fruit break for all children from 10.15 am to 12.00 pm.
We take part in the EU school program and regularly receive fruit and vegetables from a regional supplier. We integrate this into our daily meals and offer the children a colorful plate of fruit and vegetables every day free of charge.
Children who are looked after until 2 p.m. have another snack brought from home around 1 p.m.

Basics

“As long as the children are small, give them roots,
help them to blossom and when they have grown up
give them wings”
(Khali Gibran)

OUR EDUCATIONAL FOCUS

  • W We work according to the situation-oriented approach
    - The educational mission of the Baden-Württemberg orientation plan is our basis
    - Community in the facility is important to us. In the partially open concept, we work partly within groups and partly across groups
    - We offer holistic activities according to the children's interests (participative) and carry these out in age-homogeneous groups, small and large groups, and sometimes in project work.
    - We provide daily opportunities for movement
    - Garden free play phases, walks and nature days offer a variety of opportunities to experience nature
    - Activity and excursion days enrich our everyday kindergarten life
    - We live integration and inclusion in the kindergarten
    - We offer the Kolibri everyday language development program

“Take a child by the hand and let yourself be guided.
Look at the stones it picks up and listen carefully,
what it tells you.
It will take you into a world
that you have long forgotten.” (Bethmann, n.d.)

Cooperations

We work together with the following institutions:
- Elementary school, special schools, primary school support class
- Specialist curative education service, early intervention center
- Youth welfare office
- Specialist schools for social pedagogy
- Health department
- Local facilities (fire department, police, Weltgarten, daycare centers)
- Clubs (CVJM, hobby friends)
- Sponsors of other facilities

Specifics

Integration / Inclusion
Appreciation and recognition of diversity are paramount in the inclusive approach. Regardless of age, size, origin or disability, everyone is welcome and belongs. Children do not differentiate on the basis of origin or skin color. They are initially open-minded and with their diverse strengths and talents, each individual contributes to the greater whole.
We support human diversity. Not just culturally, but fully.
People with and without disabilities belong and have a right to participate.
Children with increased support needs can be offered a place with us through integration aids and accompanying support services. To this end, we have, among other things, a specialist curative education service that can be used to check the extent to which successful admission to kindergarten is possible.

Everyday integrated language support Kolibri
We practice the Kolibri language development program, which is subsidized by the state. In this program, children are encouraged to listen and speak in an everyday way. Through play, oral motor skills and breathing techniques are practiced in a playful way, thus promoting language acquisition. In everyday communication, children have language role models and direct support.
