Introduction/specifics
3. presentation of the facility
The buildingWe are located at Lehenstrasse 19 in the new school building of the Grunbach elementary school. We have access to the work and craft room, the playroom (consisting of a construction and doll's corner as well as a travel agency and a green carpet, intended as a meeting place), the dining room, office, a materials room and a classroom (for doing homework) and the kitchen.
We can also use the anteroom in the lower entrance area, as well as the table football table. We have a separate entrance, a delivery entrance and a direct connecting corridor to the school. We can use both schoolyards (upper/lower), as well as the red soccer pitch and the gymnasium when school classes are not in use.
Adjacent to the soccer pitch is a garage equipped with balls and play materials, which we use together with the school sports department. The cleaning room is next to the office and the toilets are to the right of the entrance. We try to use natural play materials (as plastic toys only stimulate the children's senses to a limited extent, can only be used in one way and therefore inhibit the children's desire to experiment). We have designed our play material in such a way that it makes it easier for the child to play with construction. This means that in our building corner, for example, the children can build all kinds of structures and constructions, thereby improving and developing their cognitive and fine motor skills.
Organizational details
Grunbach primary school childcare is open every day from 7.00 am. The children are looked after in front of the school until 8.30 am. After this time, the childcare is closed and the teaching team has time for meetings, discussions with parents or various preparations. Primary school childcare reopens at 12.00 noon and closes at 5.00 p.m. (Fridays at 2.00 p.m.).
There are three booking models:
- 7.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. (“core time care”, children are also looked after by us during this time if lessons are missed in the 6th hour)
- 7.00 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. (with lunch at 1.00 p.m.)
- 7.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.; Fridays until 2.00 p.m. (with lunch at 1.00 p.m. and homework from 2.00 p.m.)
All three booking models can be booked for 3 or 5 days a week. The 3 days can be chosen freely. However, they should be fixed at the beginning of the school year and be valid for the whole year.
In general, 1.00 pm children should not be collected before 1.00 pm, as there is a joint closing at 12.45 pm. The 2.00 p.m. children should also stay until the end, as the meal can take up the whole time. Of course, a different arrangement can be discussed with us in individual cases.
The 17.00 children do their homework between 14.00 and 15.15. If children are picked up during this time, it is possible that the homework has not yet been completed. Otherwise
