Introduction/specifics

In Städt. Kindertageseinrichtung Königstraße we accompany and look after children from the second to the sixth year of life.

There are 4 kindergarten groups with a large team of 13 pedagogical staff and a housekeeper. In addition to this regular team, our work on individual days is complemented by 2 speech therapists and a medical pedagogue.

In addition, there are integration helpers and an integration specialist for individual children.

Our main areas of focus are:

• The child is at the heart of our work in his current experience and his entire life. It's life situation and it's current topics are the starting point of our pedagogical work, which can be reflected in the form of active project work in everyday pedagogical life.

• With our work we complement and support the education of children in the family. The constant contact and a good relationship with the parents are of great importance to us. We cultivate an open approach that is characterized by trust, willingness to talk and mutual recognition.

• Our facility is certified by the Deutscher Sportbund (German Sports Federation) as a Bewegungskindergarten (movement kindergarten) and the employees are trained accordingly by special training courses.

Therefore, it is an important part of our work to offer the children as many possibilities of movement as possible, such as:

• A large outdoor area with nest swing, football field, sand play area, water play area, slope slide, bobby car race track, natural stones for climbing and balancing, climbing house and lots of outdoor toys, such as sand toys and vehicles for all ages.
•  A gym  that is used by the groups for targeted activities is also available for the children across groups.
• The large lower corridor area has been converted into a car race track, which can also be used with roller boards. In a protected area there is also a kicker table, which can also be played by younger children.
• Our cooperation partner is the sports club RTV, with which we work closely and regularly carry out events and actions.

• Food: We offer a varied breakfast buffet in all groups, with which the children can satisfy the small or large hunger in the period from 7.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. At lunch we offer the possibility to choose between a vegetarian and a mixed food menu. It is prepared daily by our housekeeper, who is a trained cook, from a combination of freshly cooked food and supplementary frozen food, with much love and taking into account the children's wishes.
