Introduction/specifics

The team of the Day care center St. Franziskus with its total of 17 employees currently cares for 87 children aged from one year to six years. The daycare center has a total of five groups, two daycare groups and three kindergarten groups, including two regular groups and one integrative group!

We work partially open, which means that each child has its home group, but there are also three additional play areas in the spacious hallway, which the children can use across groups.

Daily Schedule

From 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., the early service takes place across groups.

From 8:00 a.m., we welcome the children in their home groups.

At 8.30 a.m. common morning circle.

From 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. free play time, during which various activities take place, such as handicrafts, experiments, gymnastics etc.

And breakfast, with a varied breakfast buffet.

From 12.00 pm there is lunch, this can be ordered either warm, via the Kitafino App or you give your child a snack from home.

13.00 to 14.00 Garden time.

14.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs inter-group free play time, as well as offers such as early music education via the music school and project groups.

Specifics

As a Catholic daycare center, we are guided by Christian values and standards. In our annual cycle, we celebrate Christian festivals and organize family devotions. Praying together, telling Bible stories and singing religious songs accompany us in our daily interaction. We are always open to other religions.

Projects

During core time, the "Clever Foxes" program takes place once a week for our middle schoolers. The preschool children also meet once a week, as well as daily from February for the "Würzburg Language Program".

Projects are always carried out in everyday life with the children, through children's conferences, as we place a lot of value on the active participation and co-determination of the children.

In addition, we participate in the Jolinchen program of the AOK, which aims to strengthen the physical and mental well-being of the children.

On our gymnastics days, we also offer psychomotricity.

In the nursery, the giant meeting for our 2-3 year olds takes place once a week.
