Introduction/specifics

The BRK Kita "Am Bahnweiher" is a facility for children and offers space for a total of 123 children aged from one year to school enrollment. The building is located at the Bahnweiher playground near the train station.

The house is a family-supplementing facility. With its open concept, the existing nursery offers 24 childcare places, with access from Gartenstraße. In 2013, this was connected to the existing nursery by a new building with a passageway. The functional rooms (e.g. building room, movement room, studio, etc.) of the crèche give the children a lot of security and the opportunity to develop their individuality.

As of March 1, 2022 the care for crèche children will be expanded by 12 places. In addition, a mixed-age group for children aged one year to school entry will be added, also with 12 places. This care will take place in a temporary solution (container).

With its partially open concept, the kindergarten offers 75 care places, with access from the Bahnweiher playground. In the hall there is a painting studio and an adventure corner, which invites to inter-group play.

The large garden surrounding the entire building offers plenty of space for play and exercise in the fresh air. The nursery and kindergarten outdoor area, as well as the outsourced groups are connected by a garden door.

Special features of the house are, the project work, influences from the Montessori pedagogy, psychomotor components in everyday life and the intensive cooperation with the specialized services, to name only the most important.

Opening hours of the kindergarten: daily from 7.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.

Opening hours of the day nursery: Monday to Thursday from 7.00 - 15.00; Friday from 7.00 - 14.00

Food

Kindergarten

The taking of meals is of particular importance to us. In the mornings, we have a flexible snack time from approx. 9:00 - 11:00 am. This means that the children decide for themselves when and with whom they would like to eat.

Once a week there is a cereal day. The children are offered a selection of cereals, milk and fruit. They decide for themselves.

Day nursery

In the crèche, there is a common snack. The staff offers the children a balanced and varied snack every day.

Lunch

We obtain the warm lunch from the caterer "Rein" from Roth. An external service provider "kitafino" is required for this. It is up to each family to decide whether they would like to use this service.
