Current information

Full board with a balanced diet – all prepared in-house

At our facility, we place special emphasis on a healthy, varied, and child-friendly diet. That is why we offer a comprehensive full-board program, with all meals prepared fresh and with great care in our own kitchen.

Our children receive a balanced breakfast, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack every day. We ensure a variety of high-quality ingredients that provide the children with all essential nutrients. Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole-grain products, and selected sources of milk and protein form the foundation of our menu.

We prepare all meals in-house. This allows us to monitor the quality of the ingredients at all times and tailor our offerings to the children’s individual needs. We naturally take allergies, food intolerances, and cultural preferences into account.

With our full-board meal plan, we create a reliable foundation for the children’s well-being and development—day in and day out.

Introduction/specifics

Tucked away on the outskirts of Ottendorf-Okrilla, in the middle of a wooded area with plenty of space for playing, learning, and exploring, lies our beautiful Ottendorf-Okrilla Forest Kindergarten.
The daycare center consists of four buildings connected by a glass walkway. This allows the children to meet and socialize to engage in shared activities and explore their interests.
Our rooms offer the children comprehensive, theme-oriented, holistic, needs-based, and customized educational and experiential environments.
The spacious outdoor area offers many nature-based learning experiences.

A diverse, multi-professional team with various educational degrees and additional qualifications is available to support the children's individual needs and requirements, as developmental companions and guides.
We offer the children full board (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and all daily beverages) from our own kitchen.

The foundation of our educational work is the guiding principle of inclusion.

Under the motto :"All are different but equal"
Our daycare center is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of their social, religious, ethnic, or cultural background.
- We follow the concept of inclusive and needs-based education. For us, this means that all children are recognized with their very individual needs and interests, and their skills are developed. We view differences between children as an opportunity for shared play and learning.
- We understand the entire daycare center as a place of learning where children can explore, try things out, experiment, create, and gain their own experiences.
- We create a framework so that each child can pursue their self-education processes at their own learning pace.
- We provide the children with a safe space for their well-being and equal opportunities.
- We see ourselves as an institution where we are available as accompanying, supporting, and helpful staff for all needs.

Welcome to our forest preschool!

We’re so glad you found your way here!

Our preschool is nestled in the heart of the forest—a place full of discovery, movement, and adventure. Here, children have plenty of space to play, learn, and grow. Nature is our daily companion and offers countless opportunities to experience the world with all their senses.

Here, children make new friends, build their independence, and develop their skills through play. Community, mindfulness, and the joy of learning are at the heart of our daily educational practice.

To help you get to know us and our approach better, we warmly invite you to our open house afternoons. There, we’ll give you a detailed introduction to our daycare, our work, and our daily routine, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Projects

Partnership with the Eislöwen Kids Club

We are delighted about our active partnership with the Eislöwen Kids Club. Through this partnership, the children at our daycare center enjoy a varied and active sports program every week. The club’s professional coaches use playful activities to get the children excited about physical activity and strengthen their team spirit.

The Kids Club also regularly supports us at our daycare events—with sports activities, hands-on workshops, or little highlights for the children.

The time we spend together is not only great fun for the children but also enriches our daily daycare life in a lasting way. We look forward to many more athletic moments and continued great collaboration!
