Introduction/specifics

In our day nursery "Zschöllauer Zwergenberg" we work according to the nature-oriented pedagogical approach. The children can experience nature with all their senses and understand it in the truest sense of the word.

Rooms

Our day nursery is located in a former single-family house. Our youngest children will find their group rooms as well as the sanitary area and cloakroom on the ground floor. On the first floor are the rooms of the kindergarten children. They can freely use a large and small group room, a construction room and a relaxation room. The older children also have a separate sanitary area and a cloakroom.

Outdoor Facilities

Above the rooftops of Oschatz, our daycare center is located in the Zschöllau district in the street Am Zschöllauer Berg. As a result, we have a very large outdoor area on a hillside. All the children of our day nursery - from the youngest nativity child to the oldest kindergarten child - use the various opportunities for running, climbing and hiding together. Various functional areas of the site invite you to perceive nature with all your senses, to play with other children or to be on your own for once. A variety of play equipment gives the children the opportunity to practice and consolidate their skills and abilities.

Daily Schedule

Geared to the needs of the children, everyday life in our facility is structured as follows:

6.30 to 7.30 a.m.   Early service in the group room of the hedgehog children

to 7.45 a.m.           We warmly welcome all breakfast children

8 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. In a quiet atmosphere, the children have breakfast

to 9 a.m.                 We welcome the children who have had breakfast at home

9 a.m. to 11 a.m.      Individual free play and educational activities in the house and outdoors

11 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. In a quiet atmosphere, all children have their lunch

until 11.45 a.m.         The lunchtime children can finish their day at daycare 

12 p.m. to 2 p.m.       Time for nap and sleep

from 2.15 p.m.          We start with Vespers

until 3.30 p.m.           Individual free play outdoors or in the group rooms

3.30 pm to 4.30 pm    Late service outdoors or in the group room of the hedgehog children

Food

Every child brings a balanced and varied breakfast from home to the day nursery. 

Lunch and snacks are provided by VielfaltMenü GmbH.
