Introduction/specifics
Our AWO Buntspechte (Woodpeckers) daycare center offers children aged 1 to 6 a place to grow, discover, and feel at home. The daycare center is currently housed in modern modular units beneath the Kastanienhof Elementary School in Oberhausen-Rheinhausen.
The location is ideal: The bird park, a large playground in a green setting, and paths perfect for walks and nature observation are all in the immediate vicinity. This allows the children to gather new experiences in nature every day and actively explore their environment.
Our educational approach focuses on holistic development, individualized support for each child, and social growth within a loving and supportive environment.
Starting in 2026, a new, shared daycare center will be built together with the AWO Wiesenpieper (Meadow Pieper) daycare center – a modern educational and community hub with ample space for children, families, and collaborative learning.
- Modern containers as an interim solution
