Kinderhaus Bärenhöhle
Current information
The municipal children's center Bärenhöhle is located in the Offenhausen district of Neu-Ulm. Our facility has three nursery groups for children aged 1 to 3 years and four kindergarten groups.
We provide children with time and space for play, education, and social interaction.
Introducing Ourselves
Our "bear-y" children's center warmly welcomes you.
As a trusted caregiver and educator, you have lovingly and thoughtfully laid the foundation for your child's development. We aim to accompany and support your child's curiosity, thirst for knowledge, need for social contact, and joy in playing (learning) with great empathy and sensitivity.
With three nursery groups for children aged 1–3 and four kindergarten groups, we offer a large number of care places.
Our semi-open approach is implemented in both the nursery and kindergarten in a situation- and needs-oriented way.
In the nursery, each child has a permanent place in their base group with dedicated caregivers. After a settling-in period and the development of secure relationships, children have the opportunity to take part in cross-group activities within the protected nursery area.
In the kindergarten, where groups are mixed in age, our educational staff also welcome and support children in their base groups. Then, the "doors open" to allow the children more freedom and participation in their daily activities.
Our Focus Areas
“We are never at our goal, but always on the way.” – Vincent de Paul
We accompany children and parents in a loving atmosphere during the sensitive initial phase of settling in.
Our goal is to support children in their own developmental rhythm.
Educational partnership with parents is a key part of our pedagogical work. We see ourselves as partners in raising your child and provide them with time and space for play, education, and social interaction.
The core pillars of our educational work are:
Our pedagogical concept
Our spatial/room concept
Our observation and reflection practices
An open communication culture.
