Introduction/specifics

Our daycare center is attended by around 139 children from diverse families. This diversity shapes our educational work. Children of different origins experience various cultures, customs, and traditions on a daily basis. We promote openness, tolerance, and appreciation of diversity. Each child is supported in their individual life situation, development, and educational experience. We strengthen their personality, accompany learning processes, and help them cope with changes. A central principle is participation: children actively shape daily life, projects, and celebrations. With expertise and dedication, we adapt to their needs and interests.

Our children's house offers space for up to 139 children, divided into the following areas:

• A toddler group for children aged 1.5 to 3 years with 12-14 children

• Three regular kindergarten groups, each with 25 spots

• And a school-age daycare with 50 spots

Rooms

We offer a variety of movement opportunities in the gym, garden, and sports field to promote body awareness and self-confidence. In our groups with focuses such as role play, studio, construction room, woodworking shop, or "Look-Close" (a sensory-focused space), children can follow their interests. At the same time, fixed reference groups provide them with security and a sense of belonging.

Outdoor Facilities

Our AWO Children's House in Neu-Ulm is centrally located at the edge of the Glacis park with public playgrounds, which we use regularly. In the large garden, children can move around every day, regardless of the weather. The Weststadt School is located in close proximity, and we work closely with them.

Food

We provide the children with a freshly prepared lunch daily from Gastromenü. Of course, we also offer alternatives such as vegetarian, lactose-free, or pork-free meals.
