Current information

A warm welcome to the kida – children’s house in the Amperau!

The Integrative Children's Home in the Amperauen was opened in December 2022.

In total, 116 children aged 12 months up to school are cared for in 6 groups in a partially open and needs-oriented concept. In each group there are 3 permanent teaching staff. A specialist service supports the house in curative pedagogy.

The children's home is a training company – childminders and educators are trained, trainees in the FSJ or trial trainees enrich the everyday pedagogical life.

In the children's home you will meet a motivated and professionally competent team – the good and loving care of the children is a matter of the heart of the care staff. We see ourselves as a companion and support the children in their individual development. We offer children the opportunity to deal with, research and discover in different play areas and with different materials. In their tribal group, the children experience daily rituals such as the morning circle or eating meals. Participation is very important to us. In this way, the children are involved in the design of their daily lives and experience self-determination in the partial opening.

The basis of our educational work is the Bavarian Education Plan.

Introduction/specifics

The children's house was completed in December 2022 and is located in a new residential development built in 2020 on the northern outskirts of the city of Moosburg. In the immediate vicinity there is a supermarket. The settlement can also be easily reached by car or bicycle. Our facility is located in the green Amper meadows and is surrounded by woods, meadows, fields and a river, the Amper. Several public playgrounds in the settlement are also within walking distance. The old town of Moosburg can be reached on foot in 30 minutes with children. Public transport, such as the connection to the local city bus, is not available in the settlement. The Moosburger Bahnhof can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes with children. Here you can drive to Landshut or Freising or Munich. A two-part garden for kindergarten and crèche surrounds the house in an L-shape.

Rooms

Ground floor
The management office is located directly on the ground floor in the entrance area and offers work space for one person with a desk and a PC. For conversations there are two extra chairs available. There is also a waiting area for parents, access to the gym, the integrative group, a toilet suitable for disabled people, a visitor toilet, the lift and the kitchen. In the long hallway there are nurseries in front of the group room and an access through a dirt lock into the garden.

The hallway offers an additional opportunity to play. The children can ride in small groups with vehicles or play ball, for example. The hallway is equipped with information walls for parents.

The nursery area is separated by a large glass door. There are two groups of crèches, a large play hall, a dining area, a therapy room, a parental waiting room/conversation room, a laundry room and a storage room.

Upper floor
On the first floor are the three regular kindergarten groups, each equipped with a cloakroom in front of the group room, a bedroom, a laundry room, a children's bathroom with four toilets, washbasin and shower, two technical rooms, two personal toilets, a storage room/rest room, a dressing room for the farm workers, a children's bathroom with three toilets, washbasin and a changing table, a dining room, a therapy room and a staff room. The large play hall on the upper floor is equipped with different play areas.

The four kindergarten groups in the house work independently, but are in lively exchange with each other. Parties and celebrations are planned together. Various projects are also offered across groups. The rooms are individually designed, divided and furnished for each group. Each group room has an adjoining room. Children have a wide range of play and creative materials at their disposal: e. g. selected games, books, CD players with music or radio games, construction materials, tools and niches for role-playing, paints and pens, paper, scissors, glue, etc. for design.

Each group has a workstation (standing desk) for the educators. Each group has its own laptop, a common printer is available for all groups. The group rooms are equipped with 3-4 ergonomic nursery chairs.

Outdoor Facilities

The house is surrounded by an L-shaped garden. The spacious facility allows children to play, hide, move and experiment in the open air. The nursery children have their own garden at their disposal, which is connected to the garden area of the kindergarten by two doors.

Play equipment in the kindergarten area includes a nest swing, an asphalted driving area, a seesaw, a sandpit, a climbing tower, two rocking animals, a mud kitchen, balancing beams, a carousel, a willow tunnel, a football field and an atrium.

In the nursery area there is also a small nesting swing, a sandbox, a teepee, a willow tunnel, a climbing tower and a rubber floor for driving the vehicles.

Daily Schedule

In order to offer orientation and security to the children, we pay attention to a fixed daily schedule in all groups in our house. It is tailored to the developmental needs of children and is designed similarly in all groups. In this way, concentration and relaxation alternate, movement and calm, and targeted activity and free play. Parents are informed about the daily routine by the notice in front of the respective group room.

Food

In our facility, we attach great importance to a healthy and balanced diet for children. We therefore ask all parents to pack their children a varied, healthy and balanced meal every day without packaging in a lunch box, such as a small cheese or sausage bread, some fruit or vegetables. Already at lunch time, we teach the children to be careful with the environment. Parents should refrain from bringing sweets such as milkshakes, biscuits, chocolate etc.

Children should see for themselves how hungry they are and how much they want to eat. This promotes the perception of one's own body. They learn to feel what their body needs and what is good for it. Eating with us is a beautiful experience that we experience in the community. We also like to invite the children to taste each meal and to discover and enjoy the different flavors.

We provide unsweetened tea, water and juices daily for the children. We teach them how important regular drinking is for the functions of their own body.

We obtain our child-friendly, healthy and varied lunch freshly every day from our certified catering service “Ascher Catering”. It uses only fresh ingredients, so that the natural taste is preserved. Flavour enhancers, artificial additives etc. are completely dispensed with and great emphasis is placed on seasonal and regional offers. In addition to the normal meat-containing diet (no pork!) a purely vegetarian diet is also offered on request.

At all our meals we pay attention to a pleasant atmosphere and to the food culture. The proper handling of the cutlery and the food provided is also practiced. We also pay attention to good manners when eating.
