Introduction/specifics

The kindergarten in Neustadt is run by the town of Moosburg and is located in Moosburg Neustadt in a residential and commercial area.
The sports field of the TSV Moosburg soccer club is in the immediate vicinity, as are the Haus der Heimat and the Stalag Museum.
Various shopping facilities, a large playground and the Moosburg city forest are within walking distance.
Our forest group can be found in the city forest.
Our Mooswichtel and their construction trailer are located close to the Alpine Club, the Himmelblauer See lake and the Isar river. The industrial area of Neustadt is within walking distance due to its proximity to the edge of the forest.

Rooms

- Kindergarten in der Neustadt
Our main building is a makeshift kindergarten. It consists of several containers put together to provide sufficient space for the children.
In addition to two group rooms with adjoining rooms, we have a bedroom, children's and adult toilets, a kitchen, a staff room, an office and a storage/cleaning room. 

At the rear of the building is the exit to our garden. 
This offers plenty of space to play, run and romp around. In addition to a sandpit and a climbing frame, there is also a swing and a seesaw.

Our forest group consists of a construction trailer with plenty of open space in the forest. 
The heated construction trailer offers space inside for smaller activities or for protection from different weather conditions. There is a small kitchenette, a storage room for supplies and a checkroom in the trailer. There is also a checkroom on the outside of the construction trailer.
Thanks to its two canopies, the construction trailer offers weather-protected seating. 

The front part of the forest group is separated from the public forest path by a fence. 
The spacious open area at the back is marked and delimited by red bands. Within these markings, there is a space for the morning circle, an area for toilet use, a tool shed and a bicycle area. 

Daily Schedule

The daily routine in the main building

7:15 a.m. - The kindergarten opens

The children arrive in a calm and prepared atmosphere.

7:15 to 9:00 a.m. - Drop-off time and breakfast on the go

From the morning onwards, the children can decide for themselves whether and when or with whom they would like to have breakfast. A breakfast table is available for the children. 
The children's drop-off time ends at 9 am. All children should be present at this time to start our day together.

9:15 to approx. 9:35 a.m. - The morning circle takes place

The groups meet for the morning circle and discuss the day in kindergarten.
Current songs are sung, upcoming events are discussed and the children and adults present are checked on. 
The colleagues explain to the children what activities are taking place in the building that day and what they can take part in. 

Approx. 9:35 to 11:45 a.m. - free play time

During free play, the children decide for themselves where they want to be or what they want to take part in. 
On certain days, pre-school education and the German course also take place during this time.
11:45 to 12:15 - Preparation for lunch

The children meet again in their groups. They wash their hands together for lunch and have another small lunch circle with songs, finger plays or books.

12:15 to approx. 13:00 - Lunch

Unser We receive lunch from a caterer.

The children are allowed to take their own food and decide how much and what they want to eat.

We encourage the children to eat independently with a knife, fork and spoon or to take their own drinks.

Table talk is encouraged here. Lunch should offer the children enough time to eat without pressure and at their own pace.

13:00 - Rest time

Children who need to sleep are allowed to go to the nap room to rest.

The other children can occupy themselves in a quieter atmosphere in the group rooms. All children need a rest period in order to process the tension of everyday life.

14:00 - Afternoon begins

Some of the children are picked up at this time. The others have the opportunity to eat the snack they have brought with them.

Food

Balanced nutrition

This is the basis for a healthy and active lifestyle. A balanced diet is not a ban on food, but the right mix of everything. A balanced breakfast and snack is therefore an important factor for the children.

The children bring their breakfast and snack from home to the kindergarten. 

We obtain lunch for the children from a regional caterer. The menu includes vegetarian dishes as well as meat and fish. The meal is rounded off with various side dishes, sauces, salads and desserts. Please note that lunch can only be offered in the main building and not in the forest group.  

We participate in the school fruit program of the Free State of Bavaria. We receive a certain amount of seasonal fruit, milk, cheese and yogurt for each child who turns three on August 1st of each kindergarten year.

We incorporate our weekly delivery into our daily routine, whether as a small snack between meals or as a milk and chocolate day.

Children who are at the facility for longer than 12 noon all take part in lunch.

A total of eleven people currently work in the kindergarten and forest. 
Our friendly team includes nursery nurses, educators and a housekeeping assistant. In addition, we try to inspire and train interns and trainees for the pedagogical field every year.

Everyone has different focuses, preferences and interests. Our teachers also offer a diverse and multifaceted range of activities from which the children can benefit in their everyday lives. 
Two educators are entrusted with the role of head and deputy head. In addition to their educational work, they are also responsible for the management, administration and organization of the kindergarten.

Our housekeeping employee supports us with the daily cleaning and washing of the dishes from the kindergarten day.

It is important to us to facilitate successful, professional and objective communication in the house and forest.
Every employee should have the opportunity to express their needs without judgment, develop their resources and be able to address criticism, accept it and find constructive solutions. 
An open attitude is essential here, as this is the only way to create a respectful and reliable working atmosphere in which it is fun to get involved.

Every two weeks there is a regular exchange of information in a staff meeting, which sometimes takes place separately from the house and forest, but also together. It is important to us that we remain an overall team despite the local separation of the forest and kindergarten.
Jour fixe or small teams are also an important part of our educational work. 
In these meetings, we use collaboration to create an effective and efficient basis and to identify, address and constructively work on needs, challenges or current tasks. 
Our meetings also serve to pass on information on current topics from the provider, the district office or the specialist department, as well as to plan festivals and celebrations, conduct educational case reviews and plan and reflect on our cross-group work. 

Through closed days, on which the facility is closed all day, we continue to develop in various areas. Planning days are also part of this in order to constantly reflect on and revise everyday kindergarten life. 
Good cooperation within the team is an essential prerequisite for being able to provide professionally sound and competent educational work. The concept of cross-group work requires a high degree of trusting cooperation, good and efficient organization and constant consultation between all those involved.
In order to ensure successful cross-group work for the benefit of the children, it is important to us that all employees know their colleagues, accept each other and pursue common goals. This also includes getting involved with each other, trusting each other and working together constructively as a team. Because only through a positive dynamic in the building can we create an environment in which everyone feels welcome, accepted and comfortable. 

Quality Assurance

Quality is created by a continuous process of negotiation and coordination between the needs of children and parents, as well as the professional requirements of the pedagogical work. An important criterion is the satisfaction of children, parents and the pedagogical staff of the kindergarten.

It is our aim to constantly reflect on and record our pedagogical work. In addition to evaluations of parties and celebrations, there is also the joint written recording of processes in the house.

These processes serve as a guide for our pedagogical work and as a guide for all existing and new employees in the company.

From these documents we draw the opportunity to optimize and improve all processes in the house.

As an institution, we conduct a status analysis (ISA) every year.

Here we reflect on our past year of kindergarten and set new goals and measures for the coming year. As part of an evaluation, the ISA is reviewed after about six months.

Parental discussions


We strive for a good parenting and educational partnership in order to lay an optimal foundation for the age-appropriate development of children.

There are different ways of communicating and talking to parents and families. In addition to short informal talks, short door-to-door and fishing talks in which we give the parents a brief insight into the day, we also offer the parents a yearly development talk.

The reference group shall invite the dependants to do so. In this way we want to give parents an insight into the individual development and current issues of the child. By means of observations and documentation, we record the developmental stage of the child and discuss it with the parents.

Together with the families, we aim to create an environment for the child in which he or she feels comfortable and safe and can grow up at his or her individual pace.



Of course, it is also possible to arrange further discussions with the educators and the management team in case of major questions, uncertainties, suggestions and other concerns.



Parents' Advisory Council


At the beginning of each kindergarten year, the Parents' Advisory Council is elected.

The Parents' Advisory Board consists of several members, supports the pedagogical team and acts as a link between parents and kindergarten.

Approximately four times a year, the Parents' Advisory Board organizes an open meeting, in which the management team also participates to exchange organizational information around parties and celebrations, to pass on ideas and comments and to discuss topics related to the kindergarten year. Other areas of responsibility of the Parents' Advisory Board are minor takeovers of activities, reminders of the parent of upcoming events, a right to be consulted in the planning of closing hours and contact with the institution.

Parental information


We try to inform the parents as soon as possible and in the best possible way.
