Rooms

Our facility has two floors with large, bright rooms and a large gym on the ground floor.

In the entrance area of our house there is a parents' area with seating and information material. There is also a cosy reading corner and an exercise area which the children like to use.

On the first floor, the crèche children play and experience everyday life in their group rooms with a terrace. A spacious cloakroom, bedrooms and bathrooms are adjoin it.

On the second floor there are four group rooms for our kindergarten children with bedrooms and sanitary facilities in each group room. A large cloakroom with an integrated rest and reading area is available to all children.

Outdoor Facilities

The outdoor area of our facility is about 3000 sqm and offers the children a variety of play opportunities that correspond to the age and needs of the children.

In addition to hard and green areas, a large sand play area with playhouses, seesaws, a vehicle track, a mud track, several climbing and hiding places, there is also an open space for ball games.

The children have the opportunity to try out their gardening skills. For this purpose, raised beds have been installed and different types of berries, herbs and vegetables have been grown.

For the use of the outdoor area, the children have running wheels, scooters, tricycles and other vehicles at their disposal. Furthermore, there are a variety of natural materials, balls in different sizes, skipping ropes, games and building blocks for creative play.

Daily Schedule

The Kinderhaus Regenbogen is open from Monday to Friday from 6.00 am to 5.00 pm.

We look after children from the age of one until they start school. The daily routine offers the crèche and kindergarten children an orientation in everyday life and is adapted to their age and needs. 

From 6.00 a.m. - early service, arrival of the children and free play
From 7.30 a.m. - breakfast together in the crèche and breakfast together in the nursery area
From 8.00 a.m. - opening of all group rooms, free play and educational activities
From 9.30 a.m. - joint fruit break in the crèche and kindergarten area
From 10.00 a.m. - outdoor activities
From 11.15 a.m. - joint lunch in the groups
From 12.00 noon - nap time in the respective groups
From 2.00 p.m. - get up, get dressed, have a snack, spend time outside, free play time
From 17.00 hrs - our day care centre closes

Food

For breakfast, all breakfast children bring their own meals, which are eaten at a joint breakfast in the nursery and in the kindergarten.

The fruit break, lunch and snack are taken together in the respective groups. The Elblandklinikum provides a varied lunch and snack.

In order to guarantee healthy and balanced meals, discussions take place at regular intervals between the food provider, the parent council and the facility management.

Basics

Our pedagogical work is based on the situation-oriented approach. Here, the current life situations and needs of the children are our approach. This means that we choose topics and projects according to the needs and interests of the children. Our basic attitude of participation is connected with this approach.

The children become aware that their own feelings and thoughts are heard and that we treat each other with respect.

The Kinderhaus Regenbogen is an integrative day care centre. Our mission is to include children with developmental delays, disabilities and chronic illnesses. For us, this means accepting each child as they are and treating them with loving respect.

Through partial open work, we design our offers in such a way that they meet the different needs and abilities of the children. The children can visit other groups during playtime and use the entire corridor area for playing.
