Our 3rd pedagogical day will take place on 07.11.2022. The centre will be closed on this day.

Introduction/specifics

Our kindergarten is located on the right side of the river Elbe, on the eastern edge of Meißen within a residential area. The distances to the shopping centre "Elbecenter", the indoor swimming pool "Wellenspiel", the Elblandklinik Meißen and the residential area "Fellbacher Straße", are very short and makes it possible for the children to get to know the social life.

Our day care centre is located in the middle of the "Nassau" landscape conservation area. Although the day care centre is far away from noisy streets, we are still very easy to reach by public or private transport.

We care for up to 129 children aged 1-6 years in our facility, 21 of them are in the crèche. The kindergarten children play in 5 age-homogeneous groups and in one mixed-age group.

Rooms

In the crèche area, the children have a group room, a bedroom, a sanitary area and the wardrobe at their disposal.

In the kindergarten area, each group has its own individual group room. A function room and the sanitary area are available for each of the 2 groups. The wardrobe for the kindergarten children are located in the basement.

The children can use a plateau on the upper floor and there is a reading corner on the ground floor.

Outdoor Facilities

In our outdoor area, a large playground awaits the children with opportunities to climb, swing and see-saw. There is also a sandbox that invites the children to play in the sand. Furthermore, we have a small football pitch with football goals, which the children like to use.

In preparation for the "ADAC Vorschüler Fahrradführerschein", the children have the opportunity to ride their bikes here.

The many bushes and the willow hut offer the children hiding and retreat possibilities.

The children can experience nature all year round.

Daily Schedule

Our day care centre is open from Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m..

6:00 a.m. Start of the early service
7:30 a.m. breakfast
From 8:00 a.m. free play, activities and projects in the individual groups, followed by a fruit break
From 10:00 a.m. we stay outside with the children
11:00 a.m. Lunch
from 12:00 p.m. - 14:00 p.m. nap time
14:30 p.m. Vespers
15:00 p.m. Free play in the room or outside
17:00 p.m. Our facility closes

Food

The children bring breakfast from home. Lunch and snack are provided by the kitchen of SoPro Meißen. The children receive drinks from us.
