Introduction/specifics

Welcome to the ‘Am Bürgle’ children's centre

Toddler group, kindergarten, after-school care centre

We are a centre for children from the age of one to the end of primary school. In our centre, we give children the opportunity to develop their skills. We meet the children where they are and give them the space to discover their individuality. We support and encourage them in a loving and appreciative manner.
This happens both in the community and alone. The basis for this requires close co-operation and coordination between all those involved for the benefit of the children and is also a task.

In the preschool area, we work according to the partially open concept in fixed core groups and educational areas.
The children under the age of 3 are organised in their own group and are thus prepared for the mixed-age group.

Our after-school care centre is a family-supplementing and supportive service whose work is child-centred. Together with the children, we develop ideas, resolve conflicts, organise creative activities and varied holiday programmes.

Rooms

Rooms as an additional educator....

Rooms should offer children a stimulating environment in which they can develop according to their interests and needs. They should therefore always be adapted to the changing needs of the group.

In the ‘Am Bürgle’ children's centre, each room in the kindergarten area has an overarching theme, for which the children can find a diverse selection of materials. Depending on which phase a group is currently in, the rooms are adapted by adding or removing materials. In doing so, we focus on the children's needs and themes.

The media centre is located in the goblin group. Here the children can find books, table games, puzzles and everything to do with letters and numbers. The children's library is also located in the next room.

The owl group has everything to do with building and constructing, as well as the research area. In various small areas, the children can construct their own ideas using wood, magnets, natural materials and much more. In the adjoining room, there are regular programmes on the topic of research and discovery.

A generously equipped role-play area can be found in the magic group. From chef to builder, the children can be whatever they want here. Our dragon children (school starters) also have a place all to themselves in the next room. There is material especially for the time before they start school.

Our ghost group offers space for the children's creative ideas. Whether cutting, gluing or painting... the possibilities for artistic endeavours are endless.

The after-school care area is equipped with special play materials for our ‘biggest ones’ according to their needs. Various areas are covered in this group room, which can be changed according to the themes of the group.

The realm of our little mice is located on the second level of the house. Here, our youngest children can withdraw and move around in a protected environment. Here too, the room adapts enormously to the current group. Depending on the children's stage of development, the space and materials grow with them.

Our educational (room) programme is supplemented by other areas such as the movement room or the wood workshop.

Outdoor Facilities

The outdoor area at Bürgle is the centrepiece of the facility.

It is very spacious and offers many opportunities for free play, exploration and discovery.

In our garden, the children find many places and retreats that offer space for their own creativity.

We see the garden as an extended part of the group room. It is therefore important to us to offer the children the garden at all times

Daily Schedule

One of the special things about the Kinderhaus is our wide age range. Children from one to 10 years old play, laugh and learn under one roof. We always come together, especially at festivals, and experience ourselves as a strong community.

This diversity of children makes our everyday life colourful and lively.

Krippe

The daily routine of the crèche children is essentially based on the needs of the children. They play, sleep, laugh, cry, eat and experiment whenever they need to. The children experience themselves as self-effective from the very beginning and thus become (co-)creators of their own time.

Kindergarten

Our varied weekly and daily routine for the kindergarten children varies slightly from year to year. Depending on how many children are starting school, when the large gymnasium is free or whether there are even activities organised by external staff, changes have to be made to the schedule. The topics and needs of the children are at the centre of our work. We create a varied and diverse weekly programme for the children every week.

Hort

Participation and self-efficacy are the most important pillars of after-school care. Particularly when it comes to planning leisure activities, the group agrees on common ideas. This is supported by a number of fixed structures.

12.30 p.m. - 1.00 p.m.: Arrival/ free play

1.00 p.m. - 2.00 p.m.: Lunch

2.00 p.m. - 2.30 p.m. / 3.00 p.m.: Homework time

3.00 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.: Activities/ free play

During the holidays, a holiday programme planned with the children takes place within the opening hours of the facility. The after-school opening hours during the holiday programme are from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm. From 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm there is the possibility to register for the late group. There is no programme during this time.

Food

Nutrition at the children's centre

Healthy eating is an important concern for us at the ‘Am Bürgle’ children's centre. With our unique concept, we want to give every child access to healthy food.

A warm lunch is provided daily for our all-day, after-school and crèche children.

The VÖ children receive a varied cold buffet every day at the so-called ‘gourmet island’. In addition, every child has the opportunity to help themselves to a hot soup.

We offer delicious products such as fresh fruit, vegetables and dairy products to all children at the nursery every day. We obtain these partly through donations from parents, but also through the school fruit and school milk programme of the state of Baden-Württemberg.

We are supplied by ‘Reginalwert Frischekiste’ for both the Schlemmerinsel and the school fruit and milk programme.

Exciting programmes on the topics of food preparation and nutritional education take place on a regular basis.
