Welcome to the Buchheim-Ort kindergarten

Our small, family-run kindergarten is located in the heart of Buchheim.

We have three kindergarten groups and warmly welcome children aged 2-6 years.

Every child is special to us in their uniqueness and is the focus of our educational work. In close cooperation with you as parents, we want to accompany and support each child on their individual path in this stage of life.

By working together across groups, we create a valuable “learning from and with each other”.

Rooms

The children spend a lot of time in our house and so it is very important to us that they feel comfortable there and like to come every day.

In the partially open concept, our kindergartens have the oppurtunity to independently branch out into the various functional areas in the house every day and freely decide on space and materials. The design of the rooms and the selection of materials are based on different themes and are constantly adapted to the current interests and needs of the children.

• Tiger room: Group room for a kindergarten group, as well as a literacy and sensory room
• Cheetah room: Group room for a kindergarten group, as well as a role-play area and music room
• Lion room: Group room for a kindergarten group, as well as a construction and research area
• Bistro: eating area for breakfast and snacks at lunchtime
• Movement room
• Studio
• Garden: fenced outdoor area with climbing and play facilities, sandpit, lawn, swing, playhouse, etc.
• Courtyard: vehicle park and open play area
• Sanitary area: toilets and washroom for the children
• Baby changing room
• Sleeping room for the sleeping children

In addition, our house has an office for the management, a kitchen and a staff room, which is also used for parent meetings.

7.00 - 8.00 a.m. Early morning group

Morning circle followed by going to the toilet and washing hands

12.00 p.m. Second snack together

from 12.00 free pick-up time until 14.00

The kindergarten closes its doors.

Food

Breakfast and lunchtime eve are provided by the parents. We don’t offer hot food. Kindergarten children have the opportunity to eat at the free breakfast in the bistro.

We are a multi-professional team with different professions and additional qualifications (full and part time) and are happy to support interns, FSJ students and trainees.

Additional Offerings

We offer SBS (Sing, Move, Speak) as part of the Spatz language support series from the state of Baden-Württemberg.

There is also an in-house language development program with Helga the language development snail (hand puppet) and various remedial education groups with Manfred the remedial education bunny (hand puppet).

Teamwork with school

The primary schools of Hugstetten and Neuershausen cooperate with our institution in the last year of kindergarten. The children can get a first impression of school life at first meetings with the co-operation teacher. Parents and educators have the opportunity to exchange ideas and advice with the cooperation teacher.

Overview

Our house welcomes Marcher children aged from two year to school entrance. Please submit the application form via the online portal LittleBird. The allocation of places is based on different criteria.

Register annually by 31 December if you need a childcare place in the upcoming kindergarten year (September-August). The allocation of seats is expected to take place at the end of February.

Description and Stations

You will find us coming by bus from Hugstetten station by getting off at the church of Buchheim and turn right to cross the road at the Zebra crossing from there you will see our sign and turn left into our yard. Take the bus line 7212 to the bus stop "Buchheim-Kirche". The bus stop is a 2-minute walk from the kindergarten. Drivers coming from Hugstetten drive from the main road to the right into Holzhauserstrasse and look for cheetahs, tigers and lions on the left, they can park in front of the house.
