Introduction/specifics

Hello dear parents, my name is Sarina Rösler. Together with my colleague Debora Schmidt, we run the daycare center “Mühlen Minis”, which is located on the grounds of the Steinmühle School & Boarding School in Marburg-Cappel. Up to 10 children are looked after here, each of whom is permanently assigned to one uf us childminders. Due to the small number of children, we create a family atmosphere and can focus individually on each child. This guarantees individual support, both in terms of strengths and weaknesses.

Rooms

The log cabin consists of 5 rooms. In the first room, which is also the entrance area, you will find our children's checkrooms. Then you enter our large kitchen, where we eat on children's chairs at the children's table. The two group rooms are divided into several main areas:
- Building with large, different building blocks
- Climbing tower
- creative workshop
- ball pool
- Play kitchen
- Bookshelf
- Retreat tent with cozy corner
Blackout blinds ensure that the children can relax at nap time. The fifth and final room is our great children's bathroom with two washbasins at a low height and a children's toilet.

Outdoor Facilities

The outdoor area has been completely redesigned for the children and securely fenced in. There they can play, romp and explore to their heart's content. Our large sandpit is perfect for digging and protected by an awning.

Food

At the facility, I pay attention to a balanced, child-friendly diet and the use of high-quality food.
As far as possible, I involve the children in the preparations. Sensory experiences are made: smelling, tasting, feeling.

Basics

Goals and forms of my educational work:
I see us as a family-supporting and family-complementary facility. The child should feel safe and secure with us. Through my small group, I offer the child a stable family-like environment. Because of my age group, I feel the need to fulfill the following goals:
- Help me to do it myself - independence
- Promote the development of movement
- Promote language development
- Social behavior
It is also important to me that the children can develop at their own pace. I support the children in their self-determined development in a child-oriented and development-dependent way. I help them to consolidate and expand the values, norms and skills they have already learned and experienced. I pay particular attention to language acquisition through play. “Along the way”, I teach the children everyday skills.

Qualification

I completed my qualification as a childminder in summer 2024.

Additional Offerings

Together with my colleague and her 5 day-care children, we go to the Steinmühle gymnasium 1-2 times a week and offer children's gymnastics.

Quality Assurance

I complete my further training annually with 20 teaching units at the Evangelische Familien-Bildungsstätte.
A refresher course on first aid for infants and toddlers every 2 years.
Close cooperation with the youth welfare office of the city of Marburg.
I am a member of the association Kindertagespflege Marburg-Biedenkopf e.V.

Teamwork with parents

The cooperation between parents and the daycare center is an important pillar of our daily work. The basis of good care is close cooperation between me and the parents, as you as parents are the experts when it comes to your child.

Specifics

As it can increasingly happen that children who have reached the age of three can NOT get a suitable kindergarten place, there is the possibility that the children can continue to be looked after in our large day care center until an available kindergarten place can be taken up.

Es werden alle Geburtstage der Kinder gebührend gefeiert und natürlich besuchen uns hier auch der Osterhase, der Nikolaus und der Weihnachtsmann.

Projects

At the annual summer party, which takes place with the participation of parents, future and current families can get to know each other.
All the children's birthdays are duly celebrated and, of course, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus also visit us here.
