My name is Stephanie Kämpf, I am 44 years old and originally from Northern Germany. I live in Marburg with my husband and our two cats. As a trained educator, I have many years of experience working with children. Working with children under the age of three has always inspired me the most. I'm always fascinated when they take me on their world discovery journey and I'm happy if I can help ensure they have a good time.
The rooms are rented exclusively for the little Squirrels and are therefore completely tailored to the needs of the children. There is a large group room with lots of play options (building blocks, dolls, cars, picture books etc.), which the children can reach independently and which are freely accessible. I change the toys regularly and adapt them to the children's interests. The children can rest in a separate bedroom.
In the morning we visit the surrounding playgrounds in our 6-seater handcart.

I prepare all meals fresh on site and cook purely plant-based. The children decide for themselves what they want to eat and how much of it. Nobody is forced to eat anything or try anything. However, every child is always actively offered every food. I serve fresh fruit or vegetables with every meal. The menu for the current week's lunch is always posted. The children are fully catered for with breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack and do not need to bring anything with them.

It is very important to me that the children know that they are good just the way they are and that they are accepted. I want to enable them to discover the world and develop their abilities at their own pace and on their own initiative. This includes giving children space and time, using fewer and clear rules, to have their own experiences in dealing with the environment.
On April 1st, 2023 I completed my qualification as a Kindertagespflegeperson and offer child day care in the city of Marburg since May 1st, 2023. I previously worked in daycare centers for many years, am staatlich anerkannte Erzieherin, Kindheitspädagogin and have a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education.
Early musical education: Every morning we greet each other in a small morning circle. There is a large repertoire of songs and finger plays. The children determine the program: They have the opportunity to request their favorite songs using picture cards. Everyone gets a regular turn according to a fixed system. Portfolio work: Each child receives a portfolio - a folder in which development steps are presented as photo stories.
To ensure the quality of my educational work and for further development, I regularly take part in further training courses at the Evangelische Familienbildungsstätte. In addition, I refresh my knowledge of first aid for infants and toddlers every two years. I have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other day care providers regionally and nationally, especially through the Tagesmütter Marburg und Landkreis e.V. I also receive advice and support in collaboration with the Jugendamt Marburg and through the services offered by the Hessisches Kindertagespflegebüro.
Patient and careful settling forms the necessary basis for good care. As a parent, you are now particularly in demand, because no one knows your child as well as you do.
But we will also stay in close contact later on: Since small children are not yet able to report in detail themselves, daily exchange is of great importance so that we (you as parents and I as daycare person) can understand the child.
I also offer development meetings twice a year.
Of course, out-of-order, event-related conversations are also possible.
I close for 28 days per year, of which 25 days are vacation and 3 days are training. The closing times are usually outside the Hessian summer holidays and are communicated to families in writing at the end of the year for the coming year (or upon admission).

The Eichhörnchen Bande has a parking space right in front of the door that can be used during drop-off and pick-up times. In just a few minutes you reach the Paul-Natorp-Straße bus stop, which is served by lines 2, 3, 12, 13, 19 and 22.
