Introduction/specifics
We Wonneproppen are a mixed-age group and care for 16 children from one year old until they start school.
In a historic half-timbered house, the Kinderhaus Bei St. Jost, we have made ourselves comfortable on the first floor. We share an additional group room in our barn as well as the spacious outdoor area with the children's group Quarknasen, with whom we network, for example, with regard to our work with school children.
Three pedagogical specialists as well as interns take care of the children in our group. Creative, gender-sensitive work, committed to the idea of inclusion, as well as intensive work with parents are important to us.
Celebrating festivals, our at least six-week forest weeks, a parent camping weekend at the Edersee ("Teichmann") are further components of our annual calendar.
Our opening hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4 pm, Fridays 7:30 am to 2 pm.
In the weekly schedule, school children's work takes place on Mondays. On Wednesdays we offer children's yoga. Thursdays we spend in the wild forest, weather permitting.
On the first Tuesday of every month we offer a taster session for interested parents starting at 2 p.m. (You will receive an invitation if you apply via Little Bird), where you will not only get to know the premises but also representatives of our parents and our team.
The sponsor of our facility is the Marburger Eltern-Kind-Verein e.V.
The Marburger Eltern-Kind-Verein e.V. is responsible for nine facilities in the city of Marburg and currently cares for around 180 children between the ages of six months and school entry. The association is a parents' initiative. We attach great importance to the protection of children, a trusting and familiar atmosphere and a cooperative partnership. In our facilities, children should be allowed to develop their talents and experience values such as tolerance, community and closeness to nature.
