Introduction/specifics

In our daycare center, 56 curious and open-minded children, ranging in age from one year to school entry, look forward to coming to us every day. Here, the children can play freely in our spacious and well-equipped rooms and learn many new things. Following the Reggio Emilia approach, we accompany each child continuously from infancy until they start school. We maintain close communication and regular exchanges with parents to foster the individuality and development of each child.

Rooms

Our daycare center operates with a semi-open concept and workshop-based pedagogy. While the children begin their day in their assigned group, they can then choose to explore one of the following themed rooms:

Construction Room: Building with various materials

Art Studio: Creative activities using diverse techniques and materials

Theater Room: Equipped with a stage and costumes for extensive role-playing

Gym: Equipped with numerous pieces of equipment for climbing, physical activity, and exploring one's own body

Nursery with Play Area: Designed to meet the needs of our youngest children

Outdoor Facilities

The natural garden offers plenty of space and opportunity for running around, riding vehicles, playing football and other games. A sandbox with a water fountain, as well as a slide, trampoline, and nest swing, provide further activity options. We also have a treehouse, a teepee village, and a woodworking shop.

The nursery has a slightly separated area with a sandbox and slide to offer the youngest children a quiet atmosphere.

Food

In our daycare center, our own cook prepares fresh meals daily using regional products. We typically serve meat twice a week, vegetarian meals twice a week, and a sweet meal once a week for lunch.

Children bring their own lunchboxes for breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30. Within this timeframe, children can choose when they would like to eat. On Fridays, children do not need to bring a packed lunch, as we offer a muesli buffet.

Employee

Our team in the schoolyear 25/26 consists of:

6 childhood educators, 4 childcare workers, 2 individual support staff, 2 interns and 1 housekeeper/cook

Qualification

Our team members possess numerous enriching additional qualifications:

Specialist in social work, Marte Meo Practitioner, children's yoga teacher, practical training instructor, workshop pedagogy, Reggio Emilia approach, psychomotor skills specialist, ADHD consultant, childhood music education and more.

Additional Offerings

We offer afternoon activities every day. Our Friday activity takes place in the morning due to our earlier closing time:

Monday: psychomotor skills

Tuesday: preschool

Wednesday: musical education

Thursday: art workshop and Yoga

Friday: religious education

Quality Assurance

Once a year a parent questionaire is sent out for quality assurance purpose and a children's survey is conducted.

Furthermore regular inspections by the building authority and TÜV take place, during which the play equipment and the safety precautions in the building are checked.

Holiday Care

We offer our usual opening times during the school holidays. Only the afternoon activities are on hold during that time.

There are exceptions as follows:

During the summer break, we are closed for 3-4 weeks in August.

We are always closed during the Christmas holidays.

The second week of the pentecost holiday is closed.

Overview

We have no specific admission criteria. However, children who live near the facility or are of preschool age are given preference.

Description and Stations

Our facility is located centrally in the district Aeschach. We can be reached very easily via the city busline 3; get off at "Christuskirche" station which is 100m away.

There are four parking spots that can be used for drop-off and pick-up.
