Current information

Information about our new kindergarten:

The construction work is in progress, and the workers have been hired and are ready to start. There are still some steps that need to be completed, so we will continue to update our information here.

For now, August 18th will be our first working day.

Introduction/specifics

Our Kindergaten is centrally located in the city center of Limburg an der Lahn, characterized by the vibrant and open city life. Our rooms are designed to meet the children's needs and can be adapted to their individual developmental stages with little effort at any time. The Kindergarten [  daycare center ] consists of two groups, each with 25 places for children aged 2  to 6 years old. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an early shift starting at 7:00 a.m. and a late shift until 6:00 p.m. Various childcare options are available within these opening hours. This allows parents to adapt childcare to their own work schedules and needs. In our Kindergarten [ daycare center], children are given a sense of security and safety, and their overall development is supported. The goal of our educational work is to stimulate and promote the physical, linguistic, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. Here, we accompany the children in their individual development and help them learn how to recognize their physical needs and meet them independently. Depending on the children's developmental level, we offer them opportunities to expand their own abilities. To achieve this, we work closely with parents and families. Our educators are continually undergoing further training. This allows us to ensure a high standard of quality in our educational work. Our semi-open concept is continuously being developed and adapted to the needs of the children.

"Every child has their own pace of development. Their autonomy, individuality, and personality can flourish if they develop as independently as possible." (Emmi Pikler 1902-1984).

Rooms

The daycare center [ kindergarten ] has two group rooms, each with 25 children between the ages of two and six. The groups are equipped with small painting and handicraft corners, gymnastics elements, children's kitchens and individual building corners, role-playing corners and cuddle corners. The play material is regularly replaced to meet the individual needs of the children. The group rooms are kept simple so that the children are not exposed to too many impressions and they offer space for their own design and creativity.

The two group rooms have an adjoining changing room at their disposal, so that the professionals do not have to walk long distances with the diaper-changing children, but the children's privacy is protected.

Opposite, even without long walking distances, is the children's pool for both groups. Here you will find toilets, a shower and a play area with a watercourse for water-related activities.

Another room next to the children's pool is a differentiation room that can be used and designed for different topics. For example, as a workroom, art studio or role playroom. On the other side of the children's pool, in a quiet area of the daycare center [ kindergarten ], is our sleeping room for the little ones. This can be used as a snoozel or relaxation room outside of bedtime. This is followed by our kitchen, which also has a separate entrance for the kitchen staff. In our in-house kitchen, our cook prepares the dishes fresh every day. The children's dining room is adjacent to the kitchen. Not only can meals be eaten here, but also small group work, such as the pre-school children, will find a place here. In front of these rooms is the entrance area, including the children's cloakrooms, so the children can put on their slippers and hang up their jackets when they arrive.

Adjacent to the entrance area on the opposite left side to the group rooms is the gymnastics and exercise room. This can be used not only for exercise activities, but also for children's conferences, singing circles and parents' evenings. From the entrance area, there is access to the offices and staff rooms of the daycare center [ kindergarten] staff. Adjacent to these rooms is the administration of the Müze. Furthermore, there is the passageway to our multi-generational café, where we design and experience offers together with senior citizens. The multi-generational café is also used as a parents' café for our parents from the daycare center. The daycare center has a small outdoor area, which is equipped with sandpit, vehicles and various play materials. Furthermore, it is anchored in the pedagogical concept that we regularly visit the nearby Schafsberg for nature days and forest weeks and also organize excursions and excursions.

Finally, there are various rooms for the washing machine, cleaning materials, office supplies, handicraft materials and for storing various materials.

Outdoor Facilities

We have a small outdoor area that is sheltered and covered. In the outdoor area, the children can ride a scooter or bicycle, for example. There is also a sandpit and a mud table where the children can explore.

Furthermore, we have a city and forest concept. So we have fixed days and weeks on which we go into the forest but also into the city to explore it with the children and get to know our living environment.

Daily Schedule

  • We start our early shift at 7:00 a.m
  • From 7:30 a.m., breakfast is prepared, and the children are brought and can have breakfast

Food

The meals of the day are very important for us to get together and to have a healthy, balanced diet. For example, we have an in-house kitchen where fresh and child-friendly food is cooked every day.

Furthermore, there will be a colorful breakfast in the morning and a varied snack for the children in the afternoon.

Throughout the day we serve water and unsweetened tea.

Overall, we pay attention to the following at mealtimes:
