Introduction/specifics

A curious child doesn't just see the world - they discover it. Every day anew, with open eyes and plenty of imagination.

Children are naturally curious. We give them the opportunity to explore their curiosity to the full, to deepen their knowledge, and we support them on their journey towards becoming well-adjusted and independent individuals.

We are a local authority nursery in the centre of Lenzkirch, looking after children aged between three and six. Our nursery consists of four core groups and has space for up to 100 children.

We offer a range of care options:

  • Early morning group (FG): 7.00 am – 8.00 am
  • Half-day (HT): 8.00 am – 12.30 pm
  • Extended opening hours (VÖ): 8.00 am – 2.00 pm
  • Full-day (GT): 8.00 am – 4.30 pm

We place particular emphasis on fostering social skills, independence and curiosity. Dedicated key staff members and a trusting atmosphere provide the children with a sense of security and structure in their daily lives. The different care options enable us to respond flexibly to the needs of families.

Basics

  • We follow a situation-based approach
  • We begin the child’s transition to nursery with an individual settling-in period tailored to the child’s needs
  • We operate on the basis of the core group principle, which enables us to fully support and challenge the children
  • We work in partnership with Sommerberg Primary School to ensure the transition from nursery to school is as smooth as possible
  • We take our cue from the lives of the children and their families and respond to their individual needs and personal circumstances
  • We place great importance on free play, whilst also regularly offering a variety of activities within the group
  • We aim to provide every child with a place where they feel at home
