Introduction/specifics

Our Kita takes care of up to 17 children in a single group. We follow a specific approach. This approach aims at aiding children of different social and cultural background. They are guided to understand the world around them and to shape it responsibly.

You can choose one of three options: 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. without lunch, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with lunch, or 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with lunch and extended duration.

We have a large garden area that offers both a grass field and a sandbox.

Daily Schedule

The following aspects of the daily routine are important to structure our days:

• Free play and the possibility to eat one’s own breakfast

• Nuanced group activities

• Our morning circle (songs, stories, etc)

Each child brings its own breakfast. We provide the drinks. A caterer supplies us with balanced and child-oriented lunch. When choosing the menus, we keep religious and cultural aspects in mind.

Working with the parents

We establish a mutual and trusting relationship with the parents. In oder to do that, we offer:

• Initial interview as a dialogue
• The possibility that parents sit in and learn
• Dialogues about a child’s development for the parents
• Parent-teacher conference and brief spontaneous talks
• Play-time afternoons for parents and children

Features

Our Kita is special because of our small group. Shy children find a save space. We establish individual connections to the children and they know each other personally. We especially focus on rhythmic and musical education.

Projects

Projects are specific to each group and situation. Play-time afternoons and the Laternenfest (a lantern festival) are inherent parts.
