Introduction/specifics

Dear Parents,

We are delighted to announce that our kindergarten is being enriched by a special new offering:

My Labradoodle Eddie (a hypoallergenic breed) visits regularly and works with the children as part of our animal-assisted education program. We have a certificate and hygiene plan in place for this.

Why Eddie the dog?

Contact with an animal can benefit children in many ways:

•     Strengthening self-confidence and social skills
•     Promoting empathy and a sense of responsibility
•     Positive effect on concentration, language, and motor skills
•     Stress reduction and support for emotional stability

Safety & hygiene

•     Eddie is fully vaccinated, dewormed, and has been examined by a veterinarian.
•     He is used to being around children.
•     There are clear rules that we discuss with the children in advance.
•     Contact is always supervised.

All encounters take place in a controlled and pedagogically supervised manner.
