Introduction/specifics

Our day care center St. Jodok is located in the middle of the city of Landshut and is easily accessible from the adjacent districts. We are a family-complementary institution for the care of 75 children under the age of 3 years until they enter school. The kindergarten, which was newly built in 2019, has a wide range of rooms with the possibility to support children holistically in all areas of education.The allocation of kindergarten places for the next kindergarten year (September) takes place in the months of January to March.

The successful education, education and care of children is ensured by a sufficient and above all qualified range of pedagogical specialists

Rooms

Our kindergarten has three spacious, individually furnished group rooms, some with second level. The adjoining rooms have been redesigned into different functional areas and are used across groups and in part.  For enough movement and nature experience, our spacious outdoor area with different play areas and adventurous play equipment ensures.

Basics

In our pedagogical work, the focus is on the child. We see each child as an independent personality, with his own needs, individual circumstances and level of development. Our most important task is to recognise, take up and promote this. Our interest is to help the child build a healthy self-confidence and self-esteem and give them space to develop.

In our content and goals we refer to the BayBEP and its holistic educational approach. We build on the approach of co-construction, children and educators plan and design educational processes together.

The "game is the work of the child", therefore, our most important aspect in our pedagogical work is the free play.
