Introduction/specifics
The Kath. Kinderhaus St. Martin in Penzing is a place of learning, living, and encounter for children and families. Located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the village and surrounded by nature, the center offers places for up to 50 kindergarten children and 15 nursery children. A spacious garden, bright rooms, and a variety of functional areas invite children to play, explore, and feel at home.
As a Catholic institution under the sponsorship of the Church Foundation St. Martin, Christian values shape everyday life at the center. Religious rituals, celebrations throughout the church year, and a respectful, appreciative approach to one another are an integral part of daily routines. At the same time, the childcare center sees itself as an open and inclusive place for all children, regardless of their background, abilities, or individual needs.
The focus of the educational work is on the child as an active participant in their own development. Based on the Bavarian Education and Upbringing Plan, children are supported holistically and encouraged in their independence, social skills, and joy of learning. Particular emphasis is placed on participation, nature-based education, and emotional and social development. Children are encouraged to express their opinions, take responsibility, and actively help shape community life.
A dedicated and well-qualified team supports the children with care and professional expertise throughout their daily routines. In close partnership with parents, a trusting framework is created in which every child can develop individually and grow into a confident, socially responsible personality.
