The kindergarten forms group form I for children aged 2-6. We have 1.5 groups and can accommodate up to 30 children. We also take in children who need inclusion.

We have opted for the democratic parenting style, which raises the children to be independent, critical personalities in a cooperative, fear-free atmosphere

What we offer

- Discussions with parents about the child's level of development

- Advice and support for parents if there are any abnormalities in the child's behavior or development

- Advice on decision-making school enrollment

- Language promotion

- Bielefeld screening followed by a Würzburg training program

- School preparation in the maxi group

- Integration of children with developmental delays or disabilities

We support the children holistically in a mixed-age group. This also includes offers for children of the same age. Developmentally delayed children/children with disabilities who require special needs are integrated into the educational work.

Daily Schedule

daily routine

7:15 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. arrival time (35 blocks/45 hours)

7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. arrival time (25/35 hours)

The children are brought to the kindergarten by their parents or come alone. We ask that you do not send your child before opening hours as children are not insured at this time. The arrival time is often used by the educators for organizational or housekeeping activities or for joint arrangements that include the daily routine.

9:00 a.m. morning circle

At 9 a.m., when all the children are there, an acoustic signal sounds and the children know that we are now meeting in the gym for the morning circle. As a welcome, we sing our morning song together (one child can choose the language: German, English, French or Polish). You will then be asked about the presence of the children. The children learn to count in a playful way. Current topics and experiences are briefly discussed here. On birthdays, the birthday child gets his first serenade.

7.15 a.m. – 11.30 a.m. free play

The children have the opportunity to freely decide where, what and with whom they want to play. All rooms and various play materials are available to the children. When the weather is dry, older children have the opportunity to use the outdoor area in addition to what is available inside.

8:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Breakfast

During this period the children can have breakfast in the kitchen on the upper floor. A teacher is in charge of the kitchen during the children's breakfast time to provide any assistance. The children set their own place independently and then put their dishes on the tea cart. The teacher then cleans the place. We value a healthy breakfast (but it can also be Nutella or jam bread or cake or waffles from the day before). Please do not give your child any sweets to kindergarten. Drinks are provided in the kindergarten. We offer the children tea and water. There is also apple spritzer on birthdays.

10 a.m. gym

A teacher opens the gym and has previously told the children in the morning circle who is allowed to do gymnastics with the respective teacher today.

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Offer phase

During the morning there will be offers, e.g. picture book viewing, craft offers based on the respective annual theme. Circle of chairs with songs, games, stories... or we go out and enjoy the game outside.

12:00 – 12:30 pick-up time (25/35 hours)

The children are picked up by their parents or, by arrangement, go home alone.

12.00 – 12.30 lunch

A teacher and the everyday helper go upstairs to the group room with the younger children who stay over lunch and eat there with the children.

12.30 p.m. – 1 p.m. Meal for the older children

We are currently getting lunch from the Jägerhof in Hegensdorf for a price of €4.20. The money is debited from the city treasury

12.30 – 1.45 p.m./ 2.20 p.m

After eating, the younger children go to the bedroom. There they change clothes and lie down in their bed. You will be accompanied by an educator. (Children should sleep/rest at midday until they are 3 years old.)

1p.m.- 2p.m.

The older children rest with a teacher in the next room and listen to a story and CD. The half maxis and maxis play quiet games with a teacher in the lower group room or listen to a story. The educators who are not on duty with the children can use this time to prepare educational offers, clean and disinfect toys, and prepare meetings with parents...

2:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. Drop-off time for the afternoon/pick-up time for block bookers

The children with 35 hours shared can come back to kindergarten. The children with a 35 hour block will be picked up.

2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. pick-up time for 45 hour bookers

2:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. free play

During this time the child can continue or deepen their game from the morning. If offers take place in the afternoon, these will be announced in the morning. The “maxi group” takes place once a week to provide targeted support for prospective schoolchildren.

Basics

What is important to us

-that your child feels comfortable and can develop

- that your child's individual circumstances are taken into account and be accepted

- that you know your child is in good hands for work and family agree

- that parents and educators deal openly with one another

integration

At the little rascals we want to create a place where it is natural to live with and accept people in all their differences, including those with disabilities.

Through our work with disabled and non-disabled children, we want to awaken and promote individual interests and abilities, as well as independence, self-esteem and Strengthen a sense of responsibility. We address children in the emotional, cognitive, motor, social and practical areas. In everyday kindergarten life, this means that disabled and non-disabled children play and learn together within the group at their respective level of development. To achieve this, the children's different skills and needs must be adequately taken into account in educational planning and implementation. There are no differences in these general goals for children with and without disabilities. The differences only arise with regard to the target levels that can be achieved and the methodological approach. Disabled and non-disabled children do not learn differently, only the necessary help and methods are different. For us, integration does not just mean the coexistence of disabled and non-disabled children, but fundamentally the coexistence of a wide variety of people, i.e. regardless of gender, religion and nationality. Above all, this means that the children's personalities are accepted and supported.

Quality Assurance

Every child has the right to education and to the development of their personality. His upbringing is the primary responsibility of his parents. Day care centers and day care supplement the support of the child in the family and support the parents in carrying out their educational tasks.

§ 3 Tasks and goals

1. Day care centers and child day care have an independent educational, upbringing and care mandate.

2. Promoting the child in the development of his personality and advising and informing parents, especially on questions of education and upbringing, are core tasks of the day care center and child day care. The educational staff in the day care centers and the day care staff (childminders) must carry out the educational and upbringing task in regular dialogue with the parents and respect their educational decisions.

Cooperations

with other institutions

There is regular contact with the day care centers in the district through the meeting of sponsors/managers of the municipal daycare centers in Büren and the meeting of managers from the Paderborn district.

We are also in contact with advice centers, occupational therapists, speech therapists and the youth welfare office.

Teamwork with school

Since the children start school in the Wegwarte primary school group at the Harth location after leaving the daycare center, there is close contact between teachers and educators. In order to make the transition from kindergarten to primary school easier for the children, we visit the primary school and the teacher visits us.

Teamwork with parents

Collaboration with parents

Starting kindergarten means a big adjustment for your child to the new and unfamiliar environment. It may be your child's first step away from the security of the family. Therefore, a trusting collaboration with all parents is very important. Through constant communication, you help us to be able to respond to your child's life situation. In addition, constant contact with the teachers gives you a better insight into everyday kindergarten life. In order to support and promote contact between parents - educators - children, the kindergarten offers various activities, such as:

-Parents' evenings

-Autumn/Spring Festival

-St. Martin's celebration

-Advent singing

-Grandparents afternoons

-Mothers/fathers play mornings

-Parent-teacher conference days
