Introduction/specifics

We, the Bienenstöckle Children's House, are a four-group educational facility. Here, children aged one year to school entry are cared for.

We work in an interest- and needs-oriented way, allowing the children to investigate and explore things with curiosity.

Our children's house is characterized by:

  • Partially open concept
  • Connection to nature
  • Free play
  • Morning and offer circles
  • Garden time in wind and weather
  • Parental work
  • Festivals and celebrations

Our educational focal points:

  • Sustainability: our house was built with sustainable raw and building materials, we emphasize a healthy breakfast, we try to produce as little waste as possible, and due to the proximity to the fields towards Kleinheppach and Beinstein, we also spend a lot of time outside in nature.
  • To accompany children on their way to becoming responsible and independent personalities, following the motto of Maria Montessori: 'Help me to do it myself!'
  • We work according to the orientation plan of Baden-Württemberg. This means we have a legal mandate for care, education, and training.

Rooms

Our premises are all designed to be very bright and full of light, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. We have a generously sized group room with an adjoining side room for each group. On each floor, there is a children's bathroom with sinks at different heights, a storage room, and access to the garden. Additionally, we have a movement room, an atelier with a workbench, and our Observation Room, where preschool activities, language support, and other small group programs take place.

Outdoor Facilities

Our garden offers children a variety of opportunities to be active and play, no matter the weather.

Daily Schedule

We value a structured daily routine, as it provides children with security and orientation. Our daily routine consists of:Arrival and drop-off time until 9 a.m.Free play and snack timeMorning circlePart-time opening activitiesGarden timeLunch (VÖ7 groups)Free play and pick-up time

Food

Fresh meals are cooked in the Kinderhaus Bienenstöckle. The menu is prepared by our cook in collaboration with the educators. Particularly important to us is a varied, diverse, and conscious diet. This is taken into account in the menu.

Basics

The child, with everything it brings with it, is at the center of our attention. The goal is to educate children to become responsible and independent individuals. In doing so, we have a statutory duty of care, education, and upbringing. We work according to the Baden-Württemberg orientation plan for education and upbringing.Educational areas in the orientation plan are:Body and lifestylePerception and thinkingLanguage and communicationSocial developmentEmotion and motivationCulture, values, religionAesthetic educationMedia educationThese educational areas are promoted through everyday pedagogical activities and educational offerings for the children in order to optimally prepare them for school.

Employee

In the Kinderhaus Bienenstöckle, educational specialists, assistants, language support staff, integration specialists, and household staff work together. Our team consists of approximately 20 employees.

Additional Offerings

At the Kinderhaus Bienenstöckle, there is one activity day per week.

On this day, either our singing circle or our nature day takes place. This alternates on a biweekly basis.

During the singing circle, all four groups meet in the movement room and sing selected songs together, appropriate to the theme or season.

On nature day, we pack our backpacks and set off on foot to explore our surroundings.

Cooperations

We have a cooperation with SC Korb.Once a week, a trained gymnastics and sports instructor comes and organizes a physical activity session for the children.

Teamwork with school

We cooperate with the local elementary school. For the children in their final year of kindergarten, a preschool lesson takes place once a week.About two to three times a year, the responsible cooperation teacher visits for a preschool lesson, and at the end of the kindergarten year, we visit the elementary school with the preschool children.

Teamwork with parents

We work closely with you as parents.Especially in brief hallway conversations as well as development discussions, but also with concerns, we always have an open ear for you.Collaboration with parents takes place daily. In addition, we are always happy about help and support at our festivals and celebrations.

Specifics

Language support takes place in our house. This occurs both in small groups and integrated into everyday activities, and is especially intended for children with language difficulties and German as a second language. In addition, we work with integration specialists.Children with special support needs or particular behaviors can thereby be given the opportunity to settle better in the groups, to be promoted more specifically according to their individual needs, and to be more integrated into everyday life.
