Introduction/specifics

The Catholic kindergarten St. Johannes d. T. consists of two groups and offers 25 places for children aged three and above until they start school. We work according to the situational approach. This means that the children's living environment, their interests and experiences form the starting point for our educational work. We give the children space to try things out, make decisions and take responsibility – at their own pace. Our goal is to strengthen the children's independence, self-confidence and social skills and enable them to actively shape their everyday lives.

Rooms

Teamwork with school

In preparation for primary school, the cooperation teacher visits the nursery school four times and various activities are carried out on a rotating basis. Finally, the children visit the primary school so that they can get a feel for where they will be continuing their education after the summer holidays.

Each child has a designated teacher and belongs to a stable group that provides security and guidance. Religious education has a firm place in our everyday life. We celebrate church holidays such as Easter, Harvest Festival and Advent together – sometimes also with parents and the Catholic nurseries of the Waiblingen pastoral care unit in the church.
