Introduction/specifics

We are a three-group nursery school with two part-time groups and one full-time group, located on the outskirts of Korb below the vineyards.

We accept children from the age of 3.

The following childcare hours are offered in the three groups:

Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Extended hours (VÖ6) with 30 hours per week without lunch
or

Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full day (GT) with a maximum of 50 hours per week with lunch

Rooms

Our spacious premises, some with large windows, offer children plenty of room to develop freely.

Outdoor Facilities

Our nursery has a particularly large garden with lots of different play options, which can be used in every season.

Food

The GT children receive a hot lunch every day. The focus here is on eating together, learning about and developing a culture of eating, and discussing the day.

As a Protestant institution, we teach children Christian values through Bible stories, Christian songs, prayers and celebrations, enabling them to have a positive basic experience with God.

A structured daily routine with repetitive activities and rituals, such as free play, morning circle, shared snacks, gymnastics, nature days, etc., give the children security and orientation.

Free play is very important in our institution. It allows the children to gain valuable experiences in all areas. They explore and discover the world at their own pace and with their own interests. Our goal is to support, accompany and encourage the children in their holistic development.

Specifics

Special activities

Once a week, each group takes part in gymnastics in the in-house gym. Children of all ages have the opportunity to develop their gross motor skills and, depending on their own abilities, can improve their physical strength, self-awareness and skills.

For preschoolers in their last year of kindergarten, there is a ‘giant lesson’ once a week. Here, they practise concentration, independence and working in a group, and further develop the corresponding skills. The children also learn about school rules.

Once a month, there is a home economics activity. Together with the children, we either prepare a healthy breakfast or cook a meal that fits the current theme or is chosen by the children. Sustainability and the conscious use of food and available resources are discussed and an understanding of these topics is developed.

In addition, nature days take place regularly and once a year there is a forest week. It is important to us that the children are aware of their living environment and recognise and appreciate God's creation in every season. It is important for the group to have such experiences together and to develop as a group with all their senses.
